This is Phil's fourth "BIG RETROSPECTIVE EVENT". Whereas the past "marathon events" held this year (once a month, if the "Birthday Bash" is included) had the intention of starting "to put a dent in my tax situation", this marathon is dedicated to "helping me with my recent financial trouble"

With the Wedding Gift of $4,000 from his Mother, Phil jumped on the Tax Man's Payment Plan, and abruptly halted further information for the fans that had paid his negligent taxes thus far. With the "tax situation" apparently resolved, Phil's had to introduce this new bait.

What we know from a few slip-ups is that he's "trying to get to a point where I don't have as many debts in my name" [1] by getting "through another 1-2 months like this of barely paying bills" [2].

Forward thinking as ever, Phil is once again calling for "input" the night before his event

There are a lot of videos he refuse to watch.
In my opinion, he should watch TIHYDPs. The more famous ones like MGS2. But he is a pussy and stupid so...

If he watched the detractor videos , then that would show he's a normal human being and is willing to laugh at himself. Never happen.

You would think he'd jump at the chance to stick it to those khantent stealing, mentally ill detractors out to ruin his life by making money off of their videos. There would be people genuinely upset too. People were pissed at that one guy who tossed Phil a few TIHYDP's back during his failure of a plan to keep KoGaming alive. Good salt is good salt and some detractors, mostly on Twitter, can give almost as good as Phil.

What was the episode where he spent ten minutes walking along a path in some open world or horror game and uploaded it to Youtube? Oh wait, there's at least twenty of those...
 
The worst part about these is that he takes the time to preview the videos beforehand. Literally rewatching your videos in preparation for a stream where you will be rewatching your videos.

Though I do enjoy live retconning of video evidence from the past.
 
At what point will his previous retrospectives become eligible for a retrospective? Can't be long now. Also fuck this, another degree of separation between Phil and anything he can't control. As many have already said he ought to just drop the pretense and only do streams where he talks for six to eight hours. The gameplay is just window-dressing at this point. It could be replaced with literally any activity at which Phil is incompetent, which is to say, any activity.

I'm hoping something like a break-in does happen, and it happens while he's live. He's boring to the edge of physical pain.
 
I thought that but he can only do so much blabbing. Watching for 2 hours yesterday broke me, I can't watch Phil live anymore. I can't take this shit no more!
 
Maybe I'm missing something. So now he says he isn't starting until around 11:00 pacific time. His schedule says its running til 7 pm with "a few breaks". Even if he was starting at 10:15 as originally stated, and let's say a combined "break time" of one hour (I'm being generous), how is it a "marathon"? It's really no more hours than a regular stream day once you account for his normal breaks and dinner.

Only Phil is so paranoid he watches every video beforehand to make sure there is nothing negative in it.

I love how he doesn't give a real reason for being almost an hour late, other then "need to set up", which he'd need to have done either way. It's a smoke screen because he probably rolled out of bed 5 minutes before tweeting this, and I think we all know the reason for that.
