As much as I dislike the series it has always been considered a culturally and racially diverse universe.
 
Wasn't the original backlash towards the black dude not because he was black but because storm troopers are clones and therefor white and disposable?

And don't give me that shit about Boba Fett being Hispanic, Slave-1 didn't have rims and he had a good job as a contractor.

Yeah, there is nothing less consumerist and capitalistic than the Star Wars franchise, except for Pizza Hut, Hot Topic and of course, Facebook.

The Star Wars universe has been inconsistent forever and retconned at least once, possibly twice, but I think it's more that the initial batch of Republic Troopers were clones, and all the rest of the "later" Storm Troopers (that is, the Storm Troopers from the original movies) are just your standard foot soldiers recruited from all across the Empire. The Empire generally hates nonhuman aliens, but there's never been anything about hating different human ethnicities. I don't really know, I haven't been a hardcore Star Wars sperg in a while. But like I said, inconsistency and retconning, so maybe "OMG THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO BE CLONES" is part of it, but I do know there was a little bit of legitimate racism behind the people who were serious about it.

Great, now I want to boycott Star Wars, one of my favorite franchises, all because some gross tranny wants to see the film thinking that a boycott started by two Twitter trolls is real. Way to go, Phil.

Agreed, even though Phil would be a helluva lot roomier on the inside than a Tauntaun. You could fit two male adult Wookies inside Phil and still have room for an Ewok.
 
Give him a week or two and he'll be sperging about how there aren't any trannies or Puerto Ricans in it or some bullshit.
 
The guy who plays Poe Dameron (seriously - I don't make up these goddamn names that sound like bad Scrabble hands) is apparently Latino, but that will probably sail right over Phil's head because the character isn't wearing a sombrero, throwing random Spanish phrases into his speech like Speedy Gonzales, or eating cheese.
