Yeah I thought that was a bit extreme. but I'd like to figure out his other charges as well.

He is currently charged only with simple incest, a misdemeanor. A felony would require a grand jury (a rubber stamp), but then the case would be transferred to a Circuit Court, where the records would be public. I suspect that's actually part of why the prosecution hasn't entered any of the charges they said they might in their press release.

Dude you are always writing the most worst-case fanfic in every post. The justice system does not work like that. While there may be more charges and harsher penalties, they don't operate on sadism -- they operate on whatever produces the best results for the least amount of effort.

e.g. with Civil Forfeiture they steal your money but don't charge you with a crime, because that's easier and fattens the department's budget.

With sending joggers to jail for stupid shit they take advantage of the fact that the crimes are dumb, simple, and obvious and the PD's office is overworked.

Their goal here is not to fuck Chris for fun. Their goal here is to find the best way to make the problem go away without draining the resources of the small Commonwealth Attorney's office. We don't know what evidence they have from Barb's welfare check, but it's clearly not enough to rapidly put Chris away. They really don't want to deal with weird-ass shit that they are not used to prosecuting. They just want Chris to be contained and removed -- if that means going easy on him in some ways they will do it.

This doesn't mean Chris goes free to his lego life with Barb again, but it doesn't mean the lifetime of prison rape fanfic you keep posting about either. Jesus Christ.

The Tucker Carlson appearance was mild and pretty much forgotten by the mainstream media, but it is a warning of what could happen.

They definitely don't want the Gunt to come in, though if he came in and was an ass he would only be there once and they would remove him immediately and prosecute him if he tried to come back.

Most likely the prosecutor is building potential package deals and horse trading with the defense. It only goes to trial if they reach an impasse, and neither side really wants that. Keep in mind that even on a misdemeanor charge, the defense can still agree to some elaborate release restrictions. They could even agree to a felony charge with only time served (after a year) but harsher release restrictions. Again, the goal is to make the problem go away, and they may have to get creative.

If the prosecution goes nuclear, we get a trial full of weens trying to get in, the defense can call the media for the troon defense, and we hear about Chris on more than Tucker Carlson. Consolvo gets a show trial that he's forced to fight for, and could potentially turn into a good thing, but he probably doesn't want. This is the Chris-gets-fucked scenario but Greene County loses too.

The thing is, if Barb is not cooperating, they could potentially *lose* a rape case. The same reforms from the 70's and 80's that keep tards like Chris out of the looney bin also keep batty old women like Barb from being declared incompetent (and even more horrifically, let them keep drivers licenses). The most they could hope to easily win is felony incest. That puts Chris away for at most 5-7 years if the judge is being nasty (as they have to save the 10 year sentence for repeat offenders or BSDM people and such). They do not want to be in that situation.

Chris got lazier while in jail. Instead of drawing comics, he writes in autistic longform and whatever 'art' he produces, it's on small paper (soda labels; the smaller the the space, the less he has to draw).

I like how Chris wants strangers to check up on Barb, but not the police, since Chris has a bad history with them. Also, what would Chris want with money while in jail? He can only spend so much money on his commissary account and he can't exactly spend on anything high end, and he's allowed (I assume) very few things in his cell. Does he want to hoard his cell? The only other thing he's e-begging for is money for the house $200,000. Good fucking luck with that. And now he wants people to protest for him like he's some autistic Gandhi. Even before he was discovered by the internet, Chris ran afoul by the law (well security sometimes) and every time he fucked up, they were there to try and quell his autistic antics.
