I suspected Jerry would go for the metaphorical choke-hold on Tom. Figured it would be for the finances and not to legally have control over Tom's medical care... but that makes sense. It would also make sense why he defended Tom this time around. Gain Tom's trust, get power of attorney, tard wrangle him when it gets refiled.
