The Pinkie Pie and Deadpool bit refers to next fight in Death Battle, a Screw Attack series where fictional characters murder each other in nerd-powered flash-animated fights.

Maybe Marvin can recall the details better than me, but there was a point a few years ago where Rocky actually lined up a real job for Chris. Glass sorting or something of the like, but it was a paycheck that would've gotten Chris out of the house and brought him a good deal of extra money. Not an interview - Rocky talked to someone who had a job to give, and that person said "sure Rocky, the job is his. Just send him in." He had the job.

Chris went out of his way to not follow up with Rocky. He fell conveniently silent when the friends who knew about it asked why he wouldn't go for it despite constantly bitching about having money hardships.
Hooooly shit. If this is accurate, it's the saddest thing ever. Chris had a job lined up, no interview needed (something thousands would KILL for) and he just ignored it?

I feel like Chris is at the point where if someone offered him $5,000 a month working at the glass shop for 40 hours a week or $1200 a month while unemployed; he'd pick the absolutely nothing. I'm sure there are others out there that would pick the same thing; but I'd like to believe the majority of normal society would pick the job at $5,000 a month.

Why would Chris work, when people, weens especially, literally pay him to sit around and do nothing?

His autistic brain interprets this as a paycheck itself, and when he doesn't get paid, he wants to file a report to HR....which doesn't exist because no job.

Of course wages cut into SSI. SSI is for people who can't work and need money. As you earn money you no longer need the SSI. The social safety net was not developed to provide you with a steady drip of toy money.

I can't say this is anything surprising. That's why I refuse to comply entirely with the 'Barb is completely to blame for all of this,' narrative. Chris can bail himself out of his own problems at any time, just by working a few extra hours, to earn extra cash on top of his SSDI and refusing to waste any more money on childish toys but he refuses to.

When he's called out on this, all he does is ignores it and goes back to complaining, with a feeble excuse thrown in there if you're lucky. Chris is terminally lazy and that's all on him.

Yoooooooooooung warrior! Stop wasting all your money on childish toys and live within your means.

Yoooooooooooung warrior! Quit making excuses for being a lazy slug.

Yoooooooooooung warrior! If you're really worried about your financial state then sell off that childish bullshit in your second bedroom and pay off your debts. Also, stop just making the minimum payment.

Yoooooooooooung warrior! Grow the fuck up and act your age.

Quoting this for no other reason than its beauty.

Doesn't Chris have two prior assault charges on his record? I highly doubt a place like Wal-Mart let alone anywhere else would ever hire him just based on that. Then again, Wal-Mart's probably the only store he hasn't been banned from yet.

What I find funny is he obviously doesn't want to work, but rather than flat out admit it, he'll paint himself as the victim who's denied employment because of the terrible trolls, and therefor he's owed ass pats. Anyone could offer him advice, point him to an organization designed to help employ people to need the help, or hell even offer to hire him for custodian work or something, and he'll find any excuse he can to get out of it.

He's got at least six misdemeanors, and four stem from assault crimes. He has no felonies, though. I'm not sure how much scrutiny an employer like Wal-mart places on jobs like shelf-stockers.

Then again, Wal-Mart's probably the only store he hasn't been banned from yet.
He's banned from at least one Wal-mart.

It is because he knows money cannot buy time.

He knows the :tugboat: is enough to keep him fed. His goal in life is not to maximize money, but to maximize time spent on vidya. What's he going to use $5000 a month for? He can't even comprehend that much money, let alone spend it on toys.

I think Chris deleted the comments from Kim Wilson.

Both were removed just after he responded to her comment on the other post. She must have really struck a nerve that time.

I think it is entirely possible that he found Kim mentioning her boyfriend more offensive than everything else she said, reminding him that girls don't like him. She has said very blunt thing in the past, but did it without alluding to having a MALE boyfriend and thus wasn't deleted.

There are make-work places for tards, speds, and other difficult to employ people. Some would take on folks like Chris even with his legal record and online fuckups. Even with the way he looks. But he would have to want/need to. And why should he with the free money he gets every month?

I believe it when those in the know say Barb could make Chris get a job and keep going to it.

Chris is so set in his ways because of his autism. He thrives on routine. He's fallen into such a shitty routine since graduating from college and he refuses to snap out of it. That's why he didn't go for the job, because to him it would have fucked up his routine and he couldn't have that.
