Phil will be holding his third "Special Retrospective Event Marathon" on March 13, 2019. Exactly a month ago was the second [1], and September 27, 2018 was the first [2].

Updated schedule and tweet from the night before. Emphasis is put on Phil's taxes and "fundraising":

This March Retrospective was only announced two weeks ago during his strange "Post-Stream" [3] (along with a reminder of his long awaited 16 12 hour marathon [4].) Where previously this event was a reward to viewers for their "contributions", this Retrospective is specifically a "special event... to help raise funds to pay my taxes..." (March has no Subscriber Goals, as they would divert those "contributions" needed for taxes.)

The first was meant to feature videos requested by fans (though Phil would prove to meander off on his own). The second was put off twice, possibly because there had been too few requests. Now, the pretense of "I'll be looking back at YOUR favourite moments..." has been dropped all together.

Someone educate me on this. Isn't it against Twitch TOS to hold fundraisers of any kind? Or is it more of as long as he doesn't mention it during stream that it's fine. And someone really needs to remind his paypigs or other random generous soul that this man has two houses but chooses to push his debt onto you the viewers instead.

Honestly not clear. He got a 24 hour ban around March of 2018 without actually holding the fundraiser. This was known because his Twitter schedule picture was changed and removed all mention of a fundraiser. So far, he has not gotten any kind of wrist-slap for all the "raising funds" terminology, so maybe that's Twitch's way to ignore it? It's either that or with the previous fundraiser he referred to bits as currency, which Twitch is real persnickity about.

What videos could he possibly watch.

More moving videos? More vlogs with rambo?

He won't watch cooking with the king or DSP tries it.

He refuses to watch any of the "good" playthroughs.

If he set a $1k tip goal to watch TIHYDP he'd make bank but he won't even watch the shit tier ones he had fans make.

What the hell is left.

Find the last video from the last "retrospective". He had dozens of videos from his old Youtube channel left to watch.

Sure, but iirc he was skipping around. He had bookmarked all the suggestions then consistently refused to watch most of them.

It'll be random segments of online matchups where he nods along to himself bitching about lag.

It's not a fundraiser it's, as Phil words it now since eating a ban for holding a fundraiser for himself last year, "an effort to raise funds". Apparently this language is 100% A OK with Twitch. You can eat a ban for titling your stream a 'fundraiser' because this is using subs & bits as real world currency.

Also, 'Start'?!?! 'We'?!?! As in, "hopefully WE can START to put a dent(?) in MY tax situation if I'm lucky!" -Phil Brunel 2019, 33 days before his Federal tax payment deadline.
I just wow I can't even imagine publicly making a statement that retarded. Considering Phil's contribution to 'We' in that sentence has so far been to spend lots of money on frivolous shit I would ask if the rest of 'We' are to live up to the same standard. This is a Serious Adult Valedictorian with a Business degree in Finance who is now 'hoping to get lucky' as the only """Plan of Action""" for his business to remain limpingly financially solvent.

I just don't know what to say to someone whose own thoughts, decisions, and actions are the biggest detriment to their own life. He literally needs a tard wrangler, he already has a "Tax Attorney" and a chauffeuse, and his parents aren't going to linger on their deathbeds forever doing home maintenance jobs for him. He needs someone to be the executor of his existence, he can't even figure out how to use his health insurance, he gets stuck in the snow driving to his mailbox. . .I'm surprised he didn't die from exposure during that. Just wow

It's a weird gray area. Phil is far from the only streamer with things like a tips goal on screen, and some streamers will put an actual purpose for those donations with no issue from Twitch. One peculiar part is that you're explicitly not allowed to suggest bits have a monetary value, but when you look at the link's suggested uses, it's obvious you can suggest they're a barter item. But NOT a currency.

Don't get your hopes up; these events are fertile breeding grounds for prime paypigs. One exceptional individual is enough to make an event like this a success (in DSP's eyes).

Agreed. I fully expect Phil to pull at least a few hundred dollars in tips from this courtesy of someone like flybeast or planetjeff. And then probably $500+ from his little marathon. That said, if Phil's to be believed (HA!), that still won't be nearly enough. It's very strange to me how he's set this up...unless another E7 type shows up, he will end up thousands short of what he needs to pay the taxes (allegedly).

But you and I both know he will keep right on trucking like nothing happened despite the whole "MUH HOUSE" nonsense.

D$P has already lain the groundwork for possibly appearing to fall short:
  1. He doesn't 'know' how much he needs.
  2. He tossed out $16k and received $12k from E7. Went on to say he thought it would be around $20k after the E7 payday. Then, he recently moved the goal post back saying he might owe anywhere from ~$10k- $20k.
  3. He started laying off the #SaveThaHouse in favor of 'the IRS might put a lien on my house and/or put me on a payment plan' with no mention of being required to sell the WaKhando. He does, however, go back to #SaveThaHouse from time to time though.
I think we all agree that the WaKhando is not in any real danger and D$P will be streaming from his 'office' without even the slightest mention of this year's Tax season once he returns from his trip to the zoo cough I mean taking Khet to go spend time with his parents cats.

In other news:
D$P, in desperate need of help raising funds...shows up 5 mins late to 'start setting up'.

One moderator present, and it's not even Kekon.
Could you imagine not knowing the operating system of your everyday personal computer?
XP came out in 03 right? Oh, shit 01. Computer guy ya know.

DSP apparently could not control the fact that a 36-year-old man set aside 0% of his gross income for taxes.

So DSP won't do any Vlogs were he mentions Leanna and nothing involving music. Since he already did his old Cooking with the Kings, what the hell does that leave him with?

Also, I thought DSP didn't care about Youtube anymore, so why can't he play music for the retrospective on Twitch?

DSP is also again ripping top Twitch streamers again because they are paid shills.
