How do you all think that place is doing these days? Also, who mows their grass anyway?

There is no way it is any better than it was when we got the video tour. The Bob-shaped hole in the garbage has almost certainly been filled with garbage. My guess is that most of the rooms in the house have garbage stacked to the ceiling and are completely inaccessible. Barb is probably leaving her new treasures in the yard, or making Chris move old things out to move new things in. Winter is keeping the lawn short. In spring, no one will mow it.

The last pictures we had of the place show Barb's crap starting to stack up out on the lawn. So, I'd imagine by now there's boxes of thriftstore junk spilling out into the street.

What grass?

Aye,good point. Perhaps I should have said: who tends to their mud patch?

I think the ground should still able to support weeds. Come spring, I wouldn't be surprised if they grew like crazy.

Brother, the Hulkster would imagine it is getting worse and worse. Similar to his physical condition, man.

I wonder how many rooms are just completely blocked off by all the junk that's in them?

I'd agree that it can't be in good condition, but it's hard to say exactly what it's like. Barb seems like the type to keep Bob's space untouched as a shrine; sure, she might not have even talked to the guy much when she was alive, but it wouldn't surprise me if she hallows him after he's dead. (My grandma, a narcissistic hoarder, did something very similar after my grandpa--who she screamed at every day of their lives--passed away.)

What I'm most worried about is the bugs and structural integrity. There are definite reports of bed bugs in Charlottesville, and those little bastards take time, care, and money to eradicate--not something the Chandlers have. And if Barb's hoarding really is bad enough to fill the whole house . . . eek.

I can only assume that it's near-impossible to walk around in there, it smells like a combination of Axe and rotten food, it's infested by an uncountable number of pests, and Barb is buried underneath all her shit.

I bet it stinks. Chris and Barb are used to the stench so they don't even smell it, but most normal people would probably need a gas mask to enter the house. Soon enough, neighbours are gonna start complaining about the mess and lack of upkeep, if they haven't already.
It also goes without saying that the floor is absolutely covered in dog piss and shit.

Nah, probably no rotten food. The cats and dogs of the house probably snap up most of the edible detritus before it rots. On the other hand, we know that their feces sometimes go uncleaned, so add that into the Branchland Bouquet. Oh, and don't forget the multiple Glade Plug-Ins Chris uses in his room.

As anyone would say, 14 Branchland Court is an old shabby crap-shack that's getting worse each day with all the hoarded junk, feces, and all other sorts of things infesting the very walls. the lawn would probably have some dead grass patches and possibly some weeds.

So, what do you think will be the next stage after the crap spills into the street? Assume that the health department still remains uninvolved.

we can only assume the cats are loooong gone due to barb and chris's inability to care about anything other than themselves. and those poor puppies have their days numbered (god willing they're still alive, but we haven't heard a word about them)

The bug infestation is what concerns me. Barb isn't particularly mobile so it wouldn't surprise me if she has a few bug bites of her own. Those poor dogs probably have fleas and god knows what else.

Trolling idea: Throw a bunch of cannabis seeds on their premises 8-)

I'm actually curious about what the food situation is like at 14 Branchland Ct. By all indications it was Bob who cooked (mostly stew). Do they still eat there? Do they realize that food has expiration dates? How much long rotten food is in their fridge? Hell do they even eat there anymore? IDK I'm probably over thinking things.
