I wonder if even the microwave oven is accessible, if the reports of them regularly microwaving their Hungry Man "dinners" at the grocery store are true.

I had to help clear a hoarding house to "repay my debt to society," and one thing that stood out was that the house had 6 microwave ovens. As each one would disappear in the junk, they bought another one. It was like seeing rings in a tree; we could tell that the former owner would bury each one in about 9 months. I can see this being the case at 14 Branchland Ct., as well. Barb strikes me as the type of compulsive shit-junkie that actually enjoys making redundant purchases as stuff is absorbed into her hoard.

Pretty soon they'll get desperate enough for space that they'll start putting new microwaves in the bathroom.

juuust to make it more of a fire hazard

I'm going to go over the list of what we do know, just so we're all on the same page.

They can't use the stove for cooking because Barb felt the need to put a bunch of crap on it.
They can get to their dishwasher, but their actual silverware was lost to the pile long ago and as a result they've simply taken to using paper plates and plastic utensils.
Part of the reason Chris doesn't shower is because Barb occasionally uses it as a dumping ground.
The house is infested with bugs of some sort.
There's a working computer that used to belong to Bob somewhere in the house, but he quit using it because Barb blocked the path to it.
Chris hates the mess, but Barb gets pissed every time he suggests doing something about it.
Chris once suggested public storage, but Barb and Bob threatened to throw him out of the house.
TWO FUCKING ROOMS CANNOT BE USED BECAUSE THEY ARE FULL OF CRAP.
Somewhere in the house is the file cabinet containing Chris's report cards. Bob used to carry the key at all times, but for all we know he may have been buried with it.
The shower is an absolute mess and Chris can't be assed to do something as simple (if slightly time-consuming) as properly cleaning it.

What was the deal with the producers of the show "Hoarders"? All I know is the Chandlers shut the door on them, but how did they supposedly get wind of the situation at 14BC?

I imagine they were contacted about them and showed videos of the house

A producer wouldn't just go out there. They may have contacted them about being on the show, but the chandlers turned them down.

2 corrections: The file cabinet with the report cards also contains the Autism Papers, IIRC CWC had asked to scan those for a sweetheart (PandaHalo, I think?) and Borb said no. And the "Hoarders" thing was a troll, the Gmail address of the supposed producer would not be TRUE and HONEST, it would have the production company's name instead of Gmail if they were real.

In any case of hoarders, you gotta admit that if they did go for it, it would be the best episode ever.

And I am sure they would help them if only a little.

It blows my mind that this rumor is still around. Or, no, it's more amazing to me not that it has to be debunked, but that people can believe fucking producers of a show like that will just go out to their house without contacting them first or doing any sort of preparation.

No.

They weren't and they didn't. Edit: Oh, you mean that the people running the Hoarder's show were contacted about them by trolls or something? Ah.

They didn't.

This.

Bob and Chris suggested a storage unit at one point, but Barb got pissed. AFAIK the only time Borb threatened CWC with being thrown out was after the Ohio trip.

To be fair, there's so much surreal insanity surrounding the life of Christian Weston Chandler, that even the craziest of stories somehow seem at least a little plausible. Chris and common sense generally don't go hand in hand.

C'mon, Chris recorded himself emulating the Cakefarts video with a raging 4" twisted boner... Thirteen months ago I - among the folks with the lowest opinion of Chris on this forum - would have called someone a retard and said "absolutely impossible" if they suggested he'd do this, yet here we all sit with gaping holes in our souls from viewing that video.

Well, yeah, but Chris himself is weird, but honestly, the world around him still stays normal. That's part of why he's so funny. A weird manchild assaults normal mallcops. That's hilarious.

But a set of normal tv show producers wouldn't just approach a weird manchild out of nowhere. That wouldn't happen on its own and it's not funny.

he should just have his own show

I'd suggest that Chris and Barb use the Sicilian method. They burn down the house, collect the fire insurance money, and move to a beautiful beachside house in California.

Chris is autistic, he isn't smart enough to burn down the house and claim insurance without leaving evidence that he did it on purpose; he'd probably post on facebook about it.

he's too busy plotting to burn down the gameplace

I bet the Magical Man is still somewhere in that house, blocked and buried by piles of garbage, waiting to be rescued...
