Nah, he lost his shit on a mid-game boss because it *GASP* got to do three attacks in a row. So he was unprepared and died a couple of times. This, obviously, was the fault of shiddddddy game devs and not Phil being unprepared.

Go look at dunkeys best of 2018, over half the shit on there I had never heard of.
Dave wants to act like he’s above all the average gamers or he has a refined opinion or something....but at the end of the day he just plays the same big budget games as every other chad.
When all you can do is praise the graphics of every game, maybe it’s an indicator you’re a simpleton.

I wasnt expecting much but I still got disappointed. The lack of quality and preparation was through the roof. Started with a 30mins technical difficulty, he played the wrong clip at least two times. The lack of script really showed, he was just rumbling the time. The reasoning sometimes made no sense, maybe only in his head. He put game on his top list that he ragequit two times... okay. The clips he was showing were a mess. I thought he will edit together like a few mins long clip and play that, nope, random video downloaded from youtube. Half the time there was a loading screen, or him doing the camgirl pose, watching his phone, sipping the energy drink... or spoiling the game.
Nothing he did was good, so I gave it a 0/10.

My opinions as to why each game is on his list:
10 FORZA: Complete uber expensive $200 version with all the bells and whistles gifted by mini-whale Tanya-'somethingorother'. Better praise that sleeper in hopes of being gifted another total package of some game in 2019.
9 MEGAMAN: He's the 'King of Retro'. Bring this one out of the closet remind folks in hopes of selling more 'product'.
8 AC: Even though he complained about it constantly ( when his goto close quarters melee fight bow wasn't cheesing his way thru the game ) it raked in a good amount of dough...b/c he played it f'ing forever. Also it's still fresh in his mind having recently finished milking it dry.
7 SMASH: He's a former Fighting Game champion.
6 DBZ: He's a former Fighting Game champion and professes to enjoy watching anime (* cough* Adult Swim occasionally )
5 DETROIT : D$P loves him some Chose Your own Adventure games almost as much as walking simulators...and if you didn't know, Heavy Rain put him on the road to YT fame.
4 SPIDERMAN: It's a AAA Title fresh in his mind...and his old playthrough of a Spiderman put him on the road to YT fame.
3 RDR2: It has great graphics! Did you see the graphics in this game!?! ALso, Rambo's antics during RDR Suicide Kings put him on the road to YT fame.
2 DQ11: Entry lvl JRPG that's fresh in his mind having recently finished playing it....plus we all know how D$P loves him some JRPGs.
1 GOW 4: The graphics, dude! Plus the first GOW with an EZ mode boomeraxe that allowed him to cheese his way through most of the game and easy to solve 'find the sparkly thing' point and click puzzles.

why it does seem like that, i sort of agree with him. him making it his #1 most disappointment thought is retarded. but most of the views are from summit1g. its still an ok game though just not top 5 like twitch it showing. all from a single streamer
youd be surprised just how many games actually come out in a single year that are worth a try at least once. phil doesnt even touch 15% of them

Much as I would love to call him out on his diaper filling diatribe about this he's actually correct. It's a known problem with the MAME emulation core. All the games with turbo features in the collection are affected by it.
It doesn't make the salt sprinkled over it with him any less funny though. Super Turbo is his most beloved game on the face of the earth and most real enthusiasts are well aware of the long-running issues with it (and others like Hyper Fighting) running unthrottled on MAME.
"The game speed is wrong" is probably my fav DSP MAME/meme of 2018. His general treatment of DBFZ comes in second. He just cannot deal with this genre at all anymore and will never admit it because it's what he built his own fictional storytime credibility on.
