Here me out. We go down the rabbit hole of very meta copyright claims. Both parties have a case, so youtube decides to fucking listen for once. Who do you think is gonna win there? And where do you think the resolution would stop?

Let's say hypothetically aj claims. And Phil counter claims. And Phil's rebuttal and evidence is enough to get more than just a little scuffle taken care of. What if some fucking faggot who could give two shits less about Let's players and streamers and Phil's legacy starts to give shit long enough for phil to let it be known its not just evil aj, it's an entire genre of content spanning 10 years and 1000s of hours of his uploads. We could even pass copy right claims and get into some sort of contract/advertising rules on youtube where they decide to really put the foot down.

The dominoes that could fall if a copystrike from aj backfires is something few of you stop to think about.

Phil's a prick. But getting his stream taken down and youtube banned and ability to beg, scheming or not could turn a bit opinion on him outside of our little universe. "10 year streamer gets struck down and banned over a re-upload of his own content" would circulate fast as fuck. Only saving grace is that it's Phil and any good faith he'd be given would be gone quickly.

Again, it's not the copyright that could get him, at least, regarding Youtube. I'm not autistic enough to get into court shit, cus it never would.

It's him reuploading a privated video, which anyone with eyes would be able to see is different than if this was just raw video of himself.

When brought up a few months ago he claimed he "didn't remember it" (lie) and that he "used to be an idiot" or something to that effect. His new attempts to retcon in the DSP REEact era is "I was acting!" to counter every single criticism, even stuff that is identifiably not acting and things he has previously explained away differently.

Yes Phil, imagine MGS2 with a Twitch audience. You'd do your "act" of putting the controller down and bitching "I'm not gonna do anything until someone tells me what to do." Sure, Olga telling you that you need an AK to keep your disguise in the Core isn't very specific; but that should've been a moment where you go "Huh, guess I'll need to go find an AK," right after she gives you a higher level security card as well. It's almost like the game literally fucking gates shit for you, but also gives you the opportunity to look around before going to your next objective.

Edit: This is also how I know he isn't or ever was much of a gamer. There's a certain type of instinct that you develop as you play games; one of them is when you play through a game and you find yourself going past all these doors or whatever you can't get through at the time. Various Metal Gears, 2300 in Chrono Trigger, etc. You make a note of them, and then when you finally get what you need to get through them, you sometimes have to fight the urge to continue with the game or go back and explore everything that's finally opened up for you. Phil doesn't have that, Olga hands Raiden a uniform and a keycard, but tells you that you need an AK to keep your disguise... and Phil misses the logic connector that should tell him "New doors can be opened, let's find an AK."

Or maybe he really is a gamer, just retarded from years of gin abuse.

Poor Phil was born in the wrong era. With his dedication to his shtick and his character he missed his true calling as a 1970s Memphis wrestling heel. Andy Kaufman has nothing on Phil's method acting.

I think people just cope too much by saying it's okay I get to laugh either way, and belittle people who are invested in any way. My line of thinking is that I am invested, for the laughs, and there'd be more laughs if Phil got fucked with more. That's why I'd hope for an evil AJ claim at least. It's funnier. Not cause justice or whatever.

But some people here hate when anyone hopes for Phil gets fucked with a little harder than none at all. To me it's a symbol of how detractors and Phil really are symbiotic. Of all lolcows DSP is the least harshly trolled despite his protestations. Yet people who love to laugh at him disapprove of people who want anything bad to happen to him. It's really a bizarre dynamic.

I simply recognize that it takes a lot more than a legit copyright strike to make the pigroach really feel the burn. His worst quality, lacking any shame, is also his greatest protection. He can't be stopped from moving on as if he doesn't have egg on his face, I mean look at what his record reflects today and compare it to what he acknowledges with his daily behavior. AJ slapping him would've been funny, and deserved, and I wouldn't have decried it, but I'm not about to lose sleep because Phil is immune to the effect of being 100% wrong, and therefore can turn anything into what he wants.

On his stream, that is. Outside of it, everyone laughs at him, and he cares about that more than anything. Worry not about anything else, the PR war is already won.
