Facebook 2014-May-24 - Return of the Chaotic Combo

Even if Chris more than likely won't get back into drawing Sonichu, I'm still pleased to see he hasn't completely given up on it, or at least the idea.

I wish everyone would stop trying to catch him on every tiny little bullshit thing and just let it be. If he wants to bring back Simonla just.. shut up. I don't know how many times I've seen these stupid comments on his Facebook updates and wanted to go in there and just tell those people they're not being clever by trying to shit all over everything he does. I'd love to see any form of new Sonichu content, even just the legos. I don't see him using that as a ploy to encourage people to buy him more lego sets, but you never know with Chris.

Maybe Legos in general were Chris' best medium to work with. His stop motion videos (Mario kart raceway) wasn't the best but wasn't the worst. I'm still waiting for Chris to get the Lego stop motion maker app on iPod and make a video of him going to high school with the chaotic combo now to rewrite his history.

At this point Chris isn't bothering with Sonichu from a creative standpoint. He's like those people on Tumblr who invent pointless AUs that they never do anything with (i.e., Attack on Titan AU where everyone's at that high school from the MLPFIM movie but all the titans are alicorns and I can't bullshit up anything else I'm sick as hell right now).

I wonder if this is a desperate plea for attention a la his defiant Facebook posts a few months back. He knows that the Simonla saga got people paying attention to him and, in a small way, gave him some power over them - the trolls wanted him to kill off Simonla, but only he could actually do that. Therefore, by resurrecting Simonla, he's defying the trolls and, therefore, hoping they'll get angry at him again. Look at the gleeful reaction he gives to being told off about it on Facebook. It's probably the most attention he's had since his house burnt down.

Interesting point. The Sonichu "comics" were essentially TV shows captured on paper, made by someone who didn't have the tools to make an actual TV show.

Chris now possesses all he needs to make his own TV shows, right in his phone. Will he ever realize this, and if so, will he show more of his adventures?

I realize it's effort, but Chris does show a spark of motivation where lego is concerned.

I think you're overestimating Chris's ability to notice behavioural patterns in others. Why it took over three years to retcon something a troll "Made" him do is beyond me though. I think the fire and the lost of most of his wordly posessions may have sped up "Operation Re-establish Sonichu".

It's been a while since I've posted here, but I'll give my two cents:

This is beautiful compared to the Sonichu drought we've had for the past two or so years.

If a Sonichu reboot is too be expected, hell, give Chris some time and don't berate him. It's better for him to be buried in Sonichu rather than begging people for more lego crap. At least, it saves people the trouble of having to worry about his legitimate safety.

Give him a month or two, and if we're lucky enough, he might start working on Sonichu again.

What kind of insane institution would give the Chandlers a single line of credit at this point, in this economy? Christ Almighty.
Low federal interest rates, and Chris probably pays off his minimums, so why not?

Eh, with Chris I've learned not to attribute cleverness and scheming to what can be explained with autism, derangement, immaturity, and stupidity. When Chris actually tries to pull one over on people, it looks really obvious.

That would be great. Chris had stopped drawing the comic by the time I discovered the CWCki in late 2011, just after Bob died. So it'd be great to witness the dawn of a new age of Sonichu and all the laughs that are sure to be had.

Even if a reboot were to somehow happen...it would still never be the same as it was in the beginning.

That's just the thing. People like Chris get credit cards because the companies know that he will be paying them off indefinitely.

Even if Chris wanted to reboot the series (wasn't that what #12 was?), he'd probably stop after a few pages, assuming he even starts. I see a higher probability of him resuming his Love Quest.

That would also be great. Let's see if the past 12 years or so have taught him anything about wooing da ladies.

I'm hoping this is some of the model magic I sent him in the package. I figured he'd find use for it eventually.
This is the way to do it. If you're going to send Chris something, at least send him something he can use to produce more content to laugh at. This is something the weens never seem to figure out. Sending him stupid things like keurigs or empty lego boxes pisses him off for a moment and then he shits himself and does nothing.
The whole Simonla isn't dead thing is great and all, but when are we going to comment on Christian's minifig sitting in the back staring creepily at Sonichu and Rosechu?
I think it's significant that in his rebuilt ideal fantasy world he's a background extra now instead of the Main Character Mary Sue he usually is.
Well he did say he was going to redraw those pages.
So I guess all we do is wait.
I think we'll be waiting a LONG time. Chris thinks retconing it in his mind is enough to make it so. He'll just insist the latest version in his head is the TRUE and HONEST one and won't bother to draw anything.

And even if he really does plan on redrawing the comics, will he have a place to redraw them? The way things are going that seems less and less likely every day.
Chris responded to more comment activity.
Is it just me or is Chris' response even more crazy and arrogantly assholeish than usual?

Insane institutions giving people like the Chandlers credit is a large part of why we are in this economy.

I think his reaction has a lot more to do with his being a crazy arrogant asshole than out of any need for attention. Just look at what he said. It's much more: "I am the great and powerful Christian Weston Chandler!" than: "Look at meeeee!"
