Well, January 20 is going to be an absolute saltstrom what with Trump's inauguration. I fully expect the SJW / Tumblrina / college crybullies to go through another five stages of grief. Which will be highly amusing.
French elections could be a source of salt as well this year. The French have the top two candidates go into a run-off and it's looking likely that those will be Francois Fillon, an arch conservative ex-Sarkozy interior minister who's pinned his colours to an anti-EU anti-uncontrolled immigration mast, and Marine Le Pen, daughter of perennial National Front candidate Jean-Marie Le Pen, whose platform is basically "REMOVE KEBAB." Either of them winning which cause mass triggering amongst French Tumblrinas. Both of them are also Eurosceptics, though since the EU is a Franco-German racket at heart I doubt Frexit is likely to happen.
Angela Merkel is up for election in Germany. Her party is likely to take a severe beating for various reasons, mainly due to her party being seen as increasingly out of touch on most issues.
Turkey is likely to either turn into a crypto-Islamist one-party state. I remember just before Christmas when the Russian ambassador was shot a Turkish government representative appeared on Radio 4 trying to pin it on Gulenists infiltrating the government at every level in a fit of conspiratardery.
ISIS might just collapse this year. But there'll just be another bunch of psychotic Muslim chuckleheads charging around decapitating each other for being insufficiently fundamentalist.
Here in Britain, the economy will fail to collapse like all the doomsayers claim. "Despite Brexit" will be used frequently in the press about this.
