Not surprising at all. In slav countries and Austria this is happening as well. Would happen here too if we were allowed to have guns. I would be armed like a NRA cow.

Don't forget the vegan tofu soup and the Starbucks lattes. Can't find a firearm that's suitable for liberal hipster turds, though, they all look too scary.

Our Second Amendment is what offers us the greatest protection not only from eventual domestic governmental despotism but it gives foreign leaders great caution as well.
"One cannot invade the mainland United States because there is a gun behind every blade of grass" is attributed to Admiral Yamamoto...even though debate surrounds whether he said this, the fact remains we have never been invaded. At least not by a traditional military enemy.

What am I looking at?

I mean I recognize the name "Taurus" but why is it designed like that?
No snag. You don't want to put a round in your calf when you're pulling it out of your ugg boot. Trust me on that one.

The only thing that kept my wife from buying one (despite my telling her "Taurus is terrible") was she's left handed and it can't be fired comfortably that way thanks to the curve of the handle. So she got an LCP instead, which is an infinitely better gun anyhow.

Hell, more than half the guys I work with have bought new guns in the last 2 months, myself included

Touché. That word never is pulsating in bold neon...since the Industrial Age is a more applicable timeline.
Thank you.

This is a .380 that looks like a phone when folded. It holds 2 rounds and has to be opened to be reloaded. I don't think it's a very good gun, but it might be something the hipsters can look at without crapping their pants.

that is actually not a bad carry gun. you want something you don't mind losing (if it has to get used, you're gonna lose possession of it) and it's a good conceal.

snub revolvers seem pretty popular among the lefty crowd I know that carries. They're my carry of choice too. Simple and effective without having to think about anything but aim and target.

if there was an all out civil war of some kind it'd be funny to see an army of revolvers go up against an army of 1911s and glocks. one side only gets five or six shots, the other gets jammed after three.

if you want to talk long guns then you're looking at bolt action rifles mostly and shotguns, in this crowd. they seem to like reliable stuff without a lot of extra rounds. for self defense I think they're right about that but if they expect to mow down hordes of rednecks they're gonna have trouble.

How many documented cases are there of civilians with personal firearms foiling terrorist attacks?

Few. Robberies sure, lone gunmen less so.

Really as a pretty socially liberal dude I'm all for having guns so this is pretty good news. Hopefully .22 LR prices will go down again...

I bought 600 rounds of hollow point high velocity for $39 Wednesday and 500 rounds of subsonic for $28 and some change. Honestly that seems really cheap.

Also, Latest two buys for personal carry. Wife's LCP that I just put new grips on and my SR-22 that I got for the dealer's price because I always bring my son in with me and the owner's wife who's a very sweet old lady that desperately wants grandkids plays with him every time he comes in so she hooks me up

PS I am very gay for Ruger

We have a major issue with people buying out .22LR and stockpiling it around here for some reason. A lot of places bumped up the price in response. A nice 500 round brick could cost about 50, 60 bucks around two or three months ago.

Ruger makes good stuff. I'm a left hander, so I'm particularly happy with their abundance of left handed models, especially varmint rifles. Awkward as fuck to use a right handed bolt-action for me.

What about the Pearl High School shooting in 1997? It was stopped by an assistant principal
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pearl_High_School_shooting
It actually wasn't.

The school's assistant principal, Joel Myrick, retrieved a .45 caliber semi-automatic pistol from his truck and, spotting Woodham attempting to flee the parking lot after the shooting, shouted for him to stop. Realizing what Woodham was doing, another student used his own vehicle to block Woodham's path, at which point Woodham attempted to get around the obstruction by driving his mother's car onto a grass verge, only to end up getting stuck in the grass. Seizing his opportunity, Myrick ordered Woodham out of the car at gunpoint and detained him until police arrived at the scene.
