There are consequences, they just aren't monetary self-destruction. Well, not anymore at least. End of the day, he's still making significantly less than he was when he learned how to cheat YouTube's algorithm, and if he had been better with his business, I think he'd be pulling in big YouTuber money. Maybe not PewDiePie money, but certainly enough so he could live his extravagant lifestyle without begging from children every day.
But anyway, the consequences are everything else in his life. He's pushed away his friends and family and the only person in his life is a known cheater who really seems to be using him for room and board. Every day, he plays games he hates and "interacts" with people he hates even more. The closest he comes to being happy is watching old movies from his childhood on Netflix. I totally agree that Phil is a cockroach, and yes, he's good at inexplicably surviving, but surviving doesn't translate into happiness. One of the reasons I think there aren't really consequences for Phil anymore is because he's more or less at rock bottom. The gout mansion is really all he has to hold onto, and even then, he's already at the point where he's actively begging from children every day to keep it afloat. We know Phil lies about how much money he really makes, and while he's at least smart enough to manipulate drama to further his e-begging, I genuinely don't think he's playing 4-d chess and sitting on a pile of money. If he was smart, he could for sure save up, but this is Phil we're talking about. I think he really is in debt and frivolously spends money because he's trying to buy happiness to escape the general misery that is his life. What Phil craves more than anything, well, besides money, is respect and validation. And from people that actually matter, not his loyal fans that he clearly loathes. But, he's never going to get that, because, well, he's Phil.
On the plus side, winning battles like this makes Phil smug as shit, his ego is through the roof which means he's due for a hard crash once he inevitably fucks up and gets called out. Usually, it only takes a few days, maybe a week or two depending on what games he's playing.
