What, Russia cares about Holocaust? :o

We all know the real reason is that they can't have anyone discuss dear Putin.
Not the Holocaust, the "Holacaust", according to their scare letter. Guess even Trump's puppetmasters in Moscow think he's Hitler.

Wait, sorry, not Moscow, this scare letter says they're pissed because of a court decision in the "Republic of Buryatia" which is in the middle of fucking nowhere in Siberia above Mongolia. What did Kiwifarms do to offend a bunch of Slavgols I don't even know.

Makes me wonder what the history of this court decision is, if true. Are all swastikas potentially banned in Russia or something?

Likely, if they've got that much control over what people can and can't say on the internet over there because they can throw out these threats, then who's to say they don't already have the precedent set to ban any symbols they don't like? It's already done in many European countries.
The whole gist of this is "Delete message or we block your site."
ISPs here in Britain do this by default to every site that flags up as 'adult' or 'hate' content, you essentially have to manually opt out of what they call the 'child safety filter' censorship.
I guess the difference is that they could just hard block it from everyone in Russia assuming this letter is even real. Pretty much every country that has the internet has the power to do this at a moments notice and they don't really need to give an excuse. But it's a bit strange that they chose that particular image as the reason and not gone with the usual excuse of "Kiwifarms is a evil bully website thus it should be taken down". I guess when you're so full of vodka all the time you don't really care about so called online harassment :^)
They might have some law against talking about the Holocaust there, they simply use that to push for more censorship I guess.

Among all the offensive images posted here (e.g. literal selfcutting images, taints, etc.), they chose this to throw a bitch fit about?

I like how they didn't even state the exact reason for it to be requested for removal, it's just "prohibited for public distribution in the Russian federation" which is way too vague. They didn't even state it was offensive either.
