Well, since international poverty is measured at the equivalent of $1.90 per day, per person, and China has technically lifted people up to at least $1.91 per day, then yes. China has elevated about 800 million people out of extreme poverty. China still has hundreds of millions of people making less than $5 per day, though, and 82 million making less than than $1 per day. You know what else they did for their people? The Great Leap Forwards.

But don't let that get in the way of sucking on Communist cock, Bernie.
This will be used against him in a general election, trust.

These are the golden days for GOP attack ad writers.

At least it's a more concrete and quantifiably accurate claim than the nonsense he says about Venezuela.

And people say he isn't a commie. To defend China over the U.S. because they run a "social democracy".

Yeah, well, China today isn't real Communism

Take that as you will

So basically everything but revolvers, shotguns, or lever rifles. I can't tell if this is a gaffe or a legitimate belief of his. It's hard to even tell when he's having lucid moments anymore or if he even does have lucid moments.

At one point, as recently as before the debates, I thought Creepy Joe would be Trump's toughest opponent. Now? Bring it on. Trump will humiliate him on debate stage as he points out Biden basically is in the early stages of dementia. Meanwhile the Democrats would be panicking as they realize it's too late in the game to change horses.

I always thought the "Biden Threat" was overblown and that he was there just to be dumped on by Harris or Warren.
Now I'm certain that he's become the Jeb! of 2020.

It always seemed to me that he was the most likely to win back working class Rust Belt voters. And with those states, the election. But 2019 Biden is just a drooling mess, and 2020 Biden will be even worse.

I now think Biden would be the best opponent.
-Progressives won't get behind him.
-Swing voters won't turn out for him.
-Moderate Democrats might look for a third party alternative when they realize with his age and mental state he would not be able to perform the job.

And lastly there's his VP choice. A good VP choice complements a nominee's weakness and pacifies doubters. Mike Pence is a great example. For Evangelicals, having Pence on the ticket of a serial philanderer, non religious, not outwardly pro life nominee was encouraging. Even Biden being on the ticket of a young, progressive black Obama was a good choice to pacify the old, white establishment corporate types.

Palin was awful because it was solely an identity play to get women to vote for McCain. Whoever the Dem nominee is will likely have an identity VP.

But on a Biden ticket whoever is VP has to be acceptable in their own right. No one voted for Trump expecting Pence to ever take over. But if anyone votes for Biden, they have to be aware that there is a significant chance the running mate becomes President, either officially or unofficially. So if there is a Biden/Stacey Abrams ticket and you are not willing to accept a President Abrams, you better not vote for them at all.

If Creepy Joe is nominated, that means he was the most popular. Therefore by extention, his running mate would be less popular than him. If people were wanting the running mate to be President, they would have won the nomination themselves. So obviously no one wants the running mate to be President either.

They are so fucked if Biden gets the nomination.

In the 80’s, my dad was training a wealthy Chinese guy in China after the guy attended some training in America. They had to stop by the Chinese guy’s house to grab something after dinner.

The Chinese guy was so embarrassed of his house (actually it was a tiny apartment, which he shared with his parents), he wouldn’t even let my dad go up to see it.

I can’t imagine life is much better for the lower classes these days.

Looking at the likely choices the Dems are fucked.
Biden the half senile, Copmala, 1024 Warren and Bernie the sellout. Oh and Bootedge has some support but that's just suburban liberals backing the biggest token in the race. A VP slot is his likely fate.
Those all terrible candidates and one of them will get to lose to Trump.
Also I'm half expecting Hillary to go all in for one last shot.

She lost 2016 looking like warmed over death and she has since lost that warmth. Either she knows she's not in good enough health to run, or she's knows she'll lose and isn't bothering trying to be presentable to the public because she isn't going to try.

Oh. I thought Bernie was one of the ones who backpedaled from the GND. Apparently I was mistaken. Also didn't that hurricane wind up completely dodging Florida, anyways? If you can't even predict a hurricane for the next two or three days then why the fuck should we listen to you about weather patterns 20 years from now?

Bernie, hurricanes happen every year.

Doesn't give you a freebie excuse for The Green New Deal. Sorry buddy.
