@Rembrandt , made a lovely freaky version of my avatar using Luma AI and I've been sitting on it for a while waiting for Spooky Season. What he gave me was an MP4 in portrait so I've cropped it and turned it into a gif. I'm having trouble uploading it. though. I did a few versions and after a couple of failed attempts made this smaller < 10MB one. Still no joy though - I can go through the upload without an error message but wont actually replace my existing one.

Anything special need to be done to upload GIF avatars and have I trangressed a maximum file size? I can try to get it smaller but would be nice to know what my target is.

Not sure what the hard filesize limit is. I tried to reduce this without removing frames, you could give these a try and see if it goes through.

Removed redundant pixels, 256 colors, 65% dither. 17% filesize reduction

128 colors, 55% dither. 33% filesize reduction, introduces some noticeable banding on highlights/shadows as this has gone through a few rounds of lossy compression

Thank you - very kind of you to have done that. I've uploaded the first one (4.3MB, 256 colours) and it's working. I am no properly spooked up for October! :)

Last year's was a skeleton pushing a white woman into water, this year I'm making co pilot work and created this. Shame I wasn't able to get the flag right but it is what is it, and a side picture this one with the little bird is cute
