The long and short of it as I've always understood it is the English performed ethnic cleansing on the residents of the Scottish highlands, either removing them from their land by force or straight up killing them.

Because OfCom don't have the power to ban it themselves, they can only request the judiciary and subsequently government to do it on their behalf, which may help you to predict the trajectory of how this law will eventually go if enough sites don't comply.

My first contact with Great Britain was a culture shock regarding how they kept kids safe. I was on holiday with my parents, who let me roam freely, as parents did back then, I was 14, practically an adult, my mom and dad told me to mind my polite dialouge, anglos say please and thank you a lot, and if you do that i discovered, the nice brittons would gladly sell you cigarrettes and alcohol and did not give a single fuck if you were 14. This was the most free country I had experienced thus far.

For all the crap, half baked thoughts and implementation details of this bill, it just isnt true the UK gov is trying to legislate what content Americans can view. They only give a shit about British children, and molly coddling us adults here too - but UK citizens. Yes it is true they're trying to force US CORPORATIONS, where their jurisdiction is shaky at best (really, they dont have any, if they dont like it their options are lump it or block it), but not the lives and media consumption of Hamericans

Or your parents could make sure you get to bed on time and supervised you.

The OSA should be completely scrapped and some new laws drawn up in thr category of child neglect in letting your children get exposed to it. Parent your own kids instead of expecting the state to do it, because otherwise they'll enact those same restrictions on us adults.
