2025 Israel vs Iran War

Casualties don't really matter
Who was that General during Soviet-Afghan that said something like, "mothers will just have more babies!" When looking at their massive casualty count? For a lot of these nations disposable people are a valid tactic, it's what's kept ISIS going for so long (aside from the Israeli funding) and it's what has kept many a home turf safe. When you're basically fighting the entire populace war becomes a slog really quickly. The only way out of situations like that is to convert the majority of people to your side and have them handle themselves. Vietnam and Afghanistan for example had pretty high casualties but they still won out in the long term, even in the case of Vietnam where the country was basically split in half. All this to say, in a sense yes casualties don't matter. Ends justify the means and all that jazz. So long as you maintain enough of an economy to keep raising fighters.

I'm surprised they haven't run out of guns and ammo at this point.
Hard to do when you're getting billions in aid and donations and reparations.

As if to prove my suspicions in my previous post:

Al-Mahdi military base is one of the bases that house the Fateh-110 SRBM with an absolute max range of 500km.

More like nobody left to negotiate with
Well now that you mention it, apparently Netanyahu has spent the entirety of the past 24 hours fleeing to a secret jew bunker in greece due to the imminant collapse of Israel so I guess there isn't anyone left on either side to negotiate

If it’s true that Bibi fled they should snag him while he’s not in Israel and put him on trial. Not for any moral or ethical reasons I have, just because it’d be really really funny!

Oh god....it all makes sense now.

This whole war has been a ruse to allow Israel to strike at the most feared enemy of the Jewish people...

Gas.

Thank you @Cyanocorax yncas for posting this in the US Politics General.

There hasn't been an EAM this long since probably 9/11. There's a high likelihood that the USAF will become more involved in this soon.
I aint a military strategemist or anything, but if Israel has already tested out Iranian air defences and found them wanting (and blowing a bunch of them up) then I suspect that would make a hypothetical John Mccain operation a whole lot more palatable to the US gubmint and military, though I would be on the side of them waiting for Iran to do something stupid enough to justify such an action

It can be overwhelmed if enough rockets are sent. I don't think I'd consider that weakening, the same thing happened a few months ago.
Iron Dome isn't being used because it isn't for ballistic missiles. Iron Dome is for drones and short range missiles. Arrow and THAAD and Patriot are the systems being used, they're the ones designed to shoot down ballistic missiles miles up in the sky. Also David's Sling which is like the last-ditch defense system that tries to shoot down ballistic missiles in their terminal phase.

I'm going to relay my little anecdote from someone who actually lived the consequences of the Israel-Iran conflict.

I'm friends with a Lebanese Christian who emigrated to America with his family in the aftermath of the 2006 Lebanon War, where his village was nearly wiped off the map by artillery. I've known him for quite a while, but at some point while we were talking the other day he exposed his power level in a completely unexpected way. He expressed how happy he is to see Israel blowing up Iran's infrastructure, and that with Iran out of commission he hopes Israel and Lebanon will take the opportunity to annihilate the remnants of Hezbollah with overwhelming force. He also reveals he absolutely despises Muslims, and hates how they're coming to America and basically colonizing towns, showing me videos of the demonstrations in Dearborn in support of Palestine while expressing his disgust at how this is somehow allowed.

Also, he told me that many Lebanese restaurants in America will deliberately include pork and pork byproducts on their menus to dissuade Muslims from coming. Adding bacon bits to tabbouleh, Mediterranean-style pork ribs or chops, cooking lamb and kebabs with pork fat, that sort of thing. Typically only one item will be halal, usually chicken, and it'll be bland on purpose.

He's telling me this and I'm just sitting there in stunned silence, whereas inside my brain my based meter is peaking at levels beyond my comprehension.

you are a little faggot aren't you
What the hell are you talking about? I actually agree with him. I just didn't expect him to be so unbelievably based, because he is a pretty unassuming guy otherwise.

ABM systems rely on sheer volume and confined land area-Israel gets the former from American aid and Israel itself is a small country. Meaning anti missile systems don’t have to cover large amounts of ground or airspace.

They can be overwhelmed with sheer volume though.

The Maronite I know equally hates both. He despises Jews and everything they do, but he hates Palestinians a lot more since there were Palestinian gangs harassing people. It played a huge role why he didn't vote. One party is too pro-israel for him and the other supports abortion. He's a chill guy though.

You can judge a user's IQ by their reactions to @Catch The Rainbow. The man posts actual news, videos, updates. You can get good information as long as you remember his bias, just like you can from Al Jazeera or the Times of Israel. Almost every kf user has a bias anyway. CTR only gets the attention because he's A) a jew and B) actually posts useful shit. If you want him threadbanned or marked with a star of david I can only conclude you're an illiterate redditnigger who pisses himself when people don't use / s.

Regarding the conflict, I don't know how much good faith Iran had in us, but there will not be any more after the way Trump played them. I'm not sure that erasing all chance of future negotiation was worth it just to kill some of their top brass.
