2025 Israel vs Iran War

I remember talking about dual citizens recently in USPG2, I don't remember mentioning anything about dual citizens in government. US should make its politicians disclose all citizenships at the very least if not outright ban dual citizens. I'm not sure if a dual citizen ban for congress is even legal but looking it up, it probably is legal. Quoting Wikipedia:
There is no such thing as a "Dual Citizen" in the US. If you are a US Citizen you can hold no other foreign allegiances or citizenship. "Dual Citizens" cannot serve in the US Government. To claim Dual-Citizenship is to renounce US citizenship. Dual Citizens, holding a foreign passport makes one ineligible for elected office. And yes there is that convenient fiction that all jews are eligible for Dual Israeli Citizenship. The US Government has never recognized such. The only exception is minor children of mixed citizenship parents. The child may be passported by either parents nations or both. But they are supposed to make a choice upon reaching adulthood. Voting in a US Election is considered an affirmative choice. (although the truth is while technically illegal The US Government rarely if ever questions or investigates a claim of Dual Citizenship unless the claimant seeks elected office or high government position. ).
I don't see how Trump can simultaneously call for unconditional surrender and then hold out hope the Iranians will come back to the table. Complete schizoid foreign policy on display atm
You must have missed Trump's standard negotiating technique. He puts forth your absolute worst case. But is willing to negotiate from there if he likes what he hears. He's not a Politician. He's a businessman. He approaches dealmaking as such.
It is possible that metro is not built to the same standards as soviet metros which were also meant as bomb shelters.
There's a reason behind that decision.
Ancient Egyption Tombs weren't built to the standards of Soviet Metro Stations. Even by bomb shelter standards the Soviet Metro is extreme.

No it does, it's here:

In essence, in order to not set off Hamas, Israel decline to intervene in Qatar bringing money into Gaza. I fail to see how that can be characterized as “Netanyahu funded Hamas.”
I prefer the term Geneva suggestion
Although let it be known that Israel is quite hypocritical ...they bitch about one hospital (which has an idf bunker under)
and they gleefully carpet bombed 36 Gazan hospital
I do not ca
Israel did not bomb a hospital. Are you talking about Al-Ahli?

The State Department disagrees.

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/travel-legal-considerations/Relinquishing-US-Nationality/Dual-Nationality.html
U.S. law does not require a U.S. citizen to choose between U.S. citizenship and another (foreign) nationality (or nationalities). A U.S. citizen may naturalize in a foreign state without any risk to their U.S. citizenship.

It would be an L for Trump's apparent goal as being known as a global peacemaker. It's definitely the right move not to get involved.
It's already an L, the administration looks incompetent and incapable of making decisions at this point. Involved or not in the end there is nothing that can salvage what the last week has done imo. This is the type of shit you'd expect to have a plan for before you even start trying to negoiate, not be shocked and clueless.

But if all you can manage is to blow up a hospital while your enemy takes out aircraft, launch vehicles, high-ranking officers, nuclear scientists and physically degrades infrastructure such as airfields and nuclear facilities - you are NOT the one winning the war.
Iran is hitting plenty of physical infrastructure too, for example inflicting severe damage on the Bazan gas refinery. The difference is that Israeli drones and jets can record what they're blowing up whereas we only know what a ballistic missile hits if it's close enough to a city to get caught on camera despite the censorship or if it hits something that is obliged to publicly report its status. Even if the Iranians hit some expensive and militarily important target it's not like the IDF is going to let us know.

If this doesn't end in a week with Trump laying down the hammer and Iran spontaneously collapsing it's hard to see how this isn't going badly for Israel. When the war started Iran needed to fire over a hundred ballistic missiles for even a handful to get through, yesterday it took less than thirty and now today it seems they've got it down to one (partial intercept?) hit for three missiles. On the flipside, after the legitimately impressive coup on day 1 with mass assassinations and strikes it seems like Israel hasn't really been able to replicate their success since, to the point where they've been reduced to reposting old footage

Hamas really should have considered not putting tunnels under hospitals and not firing at Israeli troops from hospital grounds and buildings

Yeah, tell that to the Soviet prisoners they captured. Plus, the Western Allies treated their prisoners decently.

Seems they are just running low on everything.

“The hit was direct” - clearly landed in a parking lot lol I hate these lying Iranian faggots almost as much as Israelis

The World Health Organization (WHO) reported in May 2024 that 33 of 36 hospitals were damaged or destroyed, but this is attributed to Israeli airstrikes, raids, and sieges, not necessarily tunnels.
Al-Shifa Hospital and Sheikh Hamad Hospital did have tunnels yes.....third location is still disputed for legitimacy on the IDF claims.
some food for thought
Ichilov Hospital literally as the same shit they accused AL-Shifa
It was mentioned on Israeli channels prior in 2024
I don't care who right or wrong, Joos or Musies...
But don't convince me wiping a whole medical infrastructure in the name of ((anti-hamas ™️)) is righteous.

Talk to my lawyer then, I paid him a fortune

CNN is in Tehran. It looks like the Iranian military is shooting into the air to project the sense of fighting back to the populace, they are not actually shooting at anything. The explosions you are hearing come from a ZSU, specifically a variant not designed for engaging aerial targets at night let alone F-35's. It puts on a good show though.

the hyperfixation on hospitals and the tunnels and such is a bit of a red herring because Israeli crimes in Gaza stretch far beyond just strikes on hospitals

The missiles that have been hitting Israel are mostly ballistic missiles, which are - while simplistic - more expensive and resource-consumptive (though one could argue that flight time/jet fuel is comparable to complex TEL operation & rocket fuel). Generally though even a dozen guided bombs are gonna be cheaper than a single medium or intermediate range ballistic missile. An Israeli SPICE guided bomb is roundabout $125K tops, while an Iranian ballistic missile that can hit Israel is gonna cost $3 million equivalent minimum, over $6 million equivalent tops.

Given that most barrages generally see at best a 10-20% hit rate, Iran is basically chucking hundreds of millions of dollars worth of high-altitude long-range weapons to maybe hit some civilian targets in Israel.
I was imagining these missiles to cost only 100k or so since they are home made design but the real cost is real around 3-5 million + launcher + storage. So basically every time they launch a salvo of 10 they burned 30 million USD
THAAD interceptor costs 13 mill tho and each arrow is 3 million so the cost is split for weaker interceptions and significantly increases for Fatah later versions.
For F-15 it's 40kUSD/hr so just straight flight to iran's range and back is at least 3h. This cost is really insignificant compared to missiles even at 200k for a bomb.
There's an article on this: https://economictimes.indiatimes.co...ic-barrage/articleshow/121932247.cms?from=mdr

While Israel may run out of missiles, Iran, even if they have them stored have no means of getting them in air. Low saturation attack won't do much.

The IDF completed a series of overnight strikes in the heart of Tehran: Dozens of targets were attacked, including military industrial sites for missile production and the Spand headquarters for research and development of the nuclear weapons project.

More than 60 Air Force fighter jets attacked dozens of military targets in Iran overnight (Thursday) with precise intelligence guidance from the Intelligence Branch using approximately 120 munitions.

During the night, several missile manufacturing industrial sites in the Tehran area of Iran were attacked. These sites were built over years and were the industrial center of gravity of the Iranian Ministry of Defense.

Among the sites attacked were military industrial sites for the production of missile components and sites for the production of raw materials used for casting rocket engines.

As part of the attacks and as part of the IDF's activities to damage the Iranian regime's nuclear weapons project, the IDF attacked the Spand headquarters building in Tehran.

The Spend headquarters is used to research and develop advanced technologies and weapons for the Iranian regime's military capabilities, which was established in 2011 by Fakhri Zadeh, the founder of the Iranian nuclear weapons program.

In addition, a site for the production of a component that is a necessary basis for the Iranian regime's nuclear weapons program was attacked.

During the night, the Air Force intercepted four unmanned aerial vehicles launched from Iran

Agree but just pointing one thing in like fuck other tons of other things.
