I'm surprised this video has not been posted here. This is a vlog on some part of the protests from the perspective of a white tourist. He asked some people what the protests are about and the protestors who can speak english said it's about corruption and not about gen z internet problems. Lots of teargas and chaos. I'm impressed that the people didn't steal his motorbike that he just left on the street and managed to get back to his hotel in one piece.

And the vid on the aftermath which is mostly him driving through mostly empty streets (due to curfew), looking at the current sate of the protest sites/buildings and talking to locals.

Yep, it was corruption. Like most 3rd world countries, Nepal was almost hilariously corrupt with stupid high unemployment.

That will get your ass overthrown unless you have a strong police state to stop that shit before it gets big.

Nepal Didn't.
 
The dumbest aspect of all of this is how they had a revolution against the government but still ended up putting someone from the government in power.

Oh, I’m sure nothing bad can come of some retards of Discord selecting some jeet broad as their leader. Likely based on nothing else than the fact that she’s a woman.

I’d just like to remind everyone that Nepal is such a streetshitter shithole, that moving to INDIA and getting a job there, is seen as a step up.

It’s one of those places that’s basically ungovernable unless you’re some fascist warlord with an army, because they’re all low iq streetshitters and corruption is seen as the way of things and an honest to god(s) right.

Allegedly this is after their actions led to some 13k criminals escaping prison.

I honestly don't know what it is with reddit and supporting the most obvious power grabs by shady people. First we had american libs on r/europe endorse the (actually anti-eu, pro-russia) serbian protests (on which I am tempted to do a post-mortem) because "this is just like the no orange man protests", and now this shit.

It's based on the fact when she was on the supreme court she sucessfully pissed off the two ruling parties enough they tried to impeach her, and instead she elected to just retire, that was 8 years ago and she has pretty much been completely uninvolved in politics since then.

She has already made an official statement she really doesn't want to be PM but she's solely accepting to end the chaos and she wants to return to retirement within 6 months.

New Elections are scheduled for March 2026
