2032 Asteroid Preparation

I dunno. Hope I die quick when it hits. Do you have an article about this?
Whole kiwi thread Here.

Idk, unless you live in Venezuela, Africa, India, or Hong Kong, the payload isn't much to look at. Could also just land in the ocean. It's enough to level a city, but not enough to send us off to be with the Dinosaurs.

Edit bc phone fag

The percent chance of it hitting the Earth has been steadily increasing from 1.2% to now 2.3%.

But for real though, everything I've heard about the asteroid makes it sound like a nothingburger. For it to do any damage to anything in our civilization it would require us to be exponentially unlucky, and it isn't an extinction-level size regardless (fearmongers throw out the "100X MORE POWERFUL THAN HIROSHIMA!" number but we have literally detonated nukes more powerful than that all over the place, by factors even larger than that). If it hits (probably won't tbh), it would likely hit water. If it hits land, it would probably hit unhabitated areas. And if it were to hit a populated area, we would know well in-advance and get people out in time. We already know that in a worst-case scenario, it would hit somewhere relatively along the Equator too, so like India or South America. If you aren't located somewhere there then I do not think there is anything to worry about.

Also we could just use rockets to veer the asteroid off-path if it were on a collision course anyway.

India.
No. Don't do that. Don't give me hope.

I think it's a lot more than the 3% they're currently saying. I think this is a slow trickle of news to get people acclimated to the idea, and they already know it's going to happen.
Along these lines, I wonder if they are not only lying about the risk percentage, but also lying about the asteroid's size and will gradually say it's bigger over time. Or lying about the number of asteroids, it's relatively common for them to come in swarms. (i.e. meteor showers)

The city of Troy was supposedly destroyed by a meteor shower, so it's not like such a thing is unheard of.
