"If I had a couple hundred dollars I would have been thrilled" in reference to the cat stream.

Yet somehow he made 2k and was poor again days later.

This guy is such trash.
exactly if jeremy wasn't trying to fellate phil as hard as his whore mouth could he could have actually caught phil on something, he was 30 minutes deep and had no obligation to not upload the footage if phil dipped out unless they worked out a contract or the cuck actually payed phils fee and felt like he had to get his money's worth out of the interview

He probably does know "some" lore, but that wasn't the point of this interview.

The entire point of the interview was to be DSP's PR representative.

It seems pretty apparent that Quartering had decided the narrative was "Poor DSP is being CANCEL CULTURED *loud orchestral sound*", and he couldn't be bothered to see if maybe, just maybe, there was any validity to the criticisms Phil faced. I don't know shit about Quartering, but I'm going to guess that he was recently disciplined in some way for saying something that clearly fell under a "-phobic" insult and is buttmad about it. How close am I?

See, I can't buy that, because he elicited questions on Twitter, and he specifically tagged ItsAGundam and Memeology in his tweets. There's no way he just didn't know anything about DSP.

from what i remember he got his partnership with WOTC cut because he had apparently harassed some instagram cosplayers and has a history of edgy jokes, im not sure how truthful that is but i know thats why he no longer works with them and later a trans guy decked him at a con and he whined about that. so he and DSP have some things in common

==============

The timeline of events started with Phil "reaching out" to TheQuartering after seeing the video done on him. TheQuartering sent Phil the full list of questions in advance, with Phil responding with "These aren't too bad" and "We can talk about the shit where I fucked up. We can talk about the funny stuff, I don't want to talk about personal finances by the way, and I don't want to talk about exes."

Basically, this interview was much like a standard pre-stream, or a private Q&A video. What's funny is that TheQuartering gifted 10 subscriptions to DSP's Twitch channel the other day, paying the same fee ($50) that would qualify for the Patreon exclusive. The two had a cringy nervous waltz during the interview, TheQuartering brazenly demonstrating his lack of knowledge and asking softball and basic questions that are normally fielded during an average pre-stream. A classic case of 'lurk moar noob'. The teaser clip, tease Tweets, and clickbait video thumbnail about the "load" question (which is fairly lame to begin with) was answered uneventfully and with uninteresting results as the video was wrapping up. I suppose in TheQuartering's mind, he assumed DSP might rage quit the interview with such a question, not understanding it's only lukewarm. The questions that did seem to bother Phil the most were when he was compared to Wings of Redemption, and brief very lite jabs about his weight, racism, and being an asshole in general. Phil was fidgeting about wildly during the interview, clearly nervous. Lots of blinking, bobblehead nodding, hand gestures, forced laughter, and other animated expressions.

On the opening questions, Phil quickly shifted the attention away from him to the trolls, which became a staple answer to many of the questions about former offenses, why he doesn't receive opportunities like other streamers, et cetera. I found it pretty revealing that TheQuartering piped in and was enthusiastic to agree with Phil on anything relating to YouTube monetization. Which goes towards explaining why the videos were made, to exploit the drama views. Disgusting how both DSP and TheQuartering's reasoning for not talking about politics or religion is because they are aware that voicing their opinions on their beliefs will "shut off" half of their audience. i.e. hurting their income, and forging viewers who will become antagonistic towards them. And yet they are commentators.

There is a short blip a few minutes in, where clearly TheQuartering asked Phil to turn on another light to illuminate the room more. You might be wondering if other parts were cut out. But by the end of the video, you can occasionally see the recording time on Skype, and it's only 38 seconds short of the video time. So no, it was posted in full.

===============

On a slightly different note, I believe the $1,000 tips goal for the Retrospective event today was chosen after speaking to TheQuartering about the 1K cat reveal. Phil demonstrates that he is aware that by stretching the goal, leads to pleasently surprising results, with fans 'stepping up'.

Here's the first interview DSP did in 2011 for direct comparison.

I get your point, but he also said the "best question" he got was about where the jizz ended up. To me, that says he did all that shit to create the facade of doing actual questioning. Given that Phil is promoting the mutual fellatio video, he clearly didn't ask actual difficult / uncomfortable questions.

The interview is a huge waste of time. It basically feels like The Quartering is too lazy to do any research on Phil so he decides to have the guy over and ask him about his own history instead. Beyond lazy, given how rare it is for Phil to show up.

I am not a DSP fan or hater, I barely even read any DSP threads around and the interview still failed to enlighten me after watching a good chunk of it (and regretting the time investment). Having The Quarterpound beg for likes and dislikes and tease a completely not funny "where did the load go" before the interview even began and asking senpai Phil for "post-YouTube career advice" right at start already gave me a sour disposition but I followed through and still was disappointed.

Thanks for nothing, asshole. The fact you possibly learned anything from this shows how little time you put into researching your interviewee and how limp of an interviewer you are, failing to advance anyone's understandings on anything to any degree. What a waste of time.

I'll give one point to Phil though: despite his rambling forever about nothing in particular with every question (as usual, missing social cues is a large symptom of autism), he still managed not to sound and look as exception as he usually is - given that this is not a hard thing to do at all, since most people achieve that by simply waking up and leaving bed every day. Still, since this is going off to a wide audience, good on Phil for managing to hold back on the "I have autism please laugh at me" factor, for his own sake.

I googled The Quartering to look for the channel to find the interview and his own YouTube channel doesn't appear in the first page of results on fucking Google. It's there, for sure, but not on the first page. lol what a fucking clown. Try googling Yong Yea, Heel vs Baby Face or Sid Alpha and a 100% of those show their YT channels on the first hit of the first page.

These are all in the exact same clique of "uberlazy game journalism YouTubers". How The Quarterpound manages to be utterly irrelevant to google is beyond me, although I'm sure it takes a special type of creator to achieve that.

Well, if you have questions that you would like to have answered, please feel free to ask.

This was a one-on-one with someone who had already been over-the-top obsequious with him and made clear that he agreed Phil was a victim. A friendly crowd, more or less, and not done live, so Phil knew it was highly unlikely that anything he said was going to be challenged.

Yes but being a friendly interview does not preclude the possiblity of it being a good interview, does it? I'm not asking for the guy to go all-out JULAY on Phil or conversely for him to channel Glenn Greenwald and make a proper journalistic interview.

I would have been fine with just him putting a little effort into it. Instead, all the guy did was ask for questions on Twitter and then read those question out loud to Phil, basically. Just another worthless lazy video on a channel made up entirely of worthless lazy videos. How surprising.

It's not like the interview was urgent, timely or a last-chance either. The guy could have waited another week or two and actually come up with something worthwhile instead. It's just that he doesn't care about quality at all, he's just happy to get his daily upload over and done with to keep YouTube's algorithms well-fed and oiled. No wonder his channel doesn't even show up on Google.

More specifically, he allowed Phil to define the parameters of the interview by refusing to answer any questions about his money. Problem is, the black void that is Phil's wallet and spending habits are precisely what piss off a significant chunk of people. Quartering even tried to say that the whole "where'd duh jizz go?" question was some super hot, oft-asked question...and I'm pretty sure it was one person who asked it.

So you're right, this was a shit "interview" done by a lazy fucker with another lazy, greedy fucker. No wonder Quartering sees a familiar face in Phil...they seem to have a lot in common.

As always you're dead on.
Jeremy has a history of attaching himself to drama he has no clue about. He did so just recently with the Vic situation, in the Dragon Ball community. He is often called a racist or right wing, last moment I personally remember was over a video he did about Jax Briggs in the newest Mortal Kombat.

Quartering even tried to say that the whole "where'd duh jizz go?" question was some super hot, oft-asked question...and I'm pretty sure it was one person who asked it.

You're right, only Dankula asked that question.

Edit:
I think I found another reason Jeremy sucked off Phil. The Daily Dot wrote about Jeremy aswell.

This lying piece of shit.
I know that I called it earlier in this thread, and I know that I should know better.
I know that Philip "Darksydephil" Burnell is a pathological liar. That's just an indisputable fact.
But, I still cannot believe that he had the gall to gaslight everybody and flatout lie about his "My Racist Jokes Are Okay, Your Gout Jokes Are Bad" rant.

"First of all, it wasn't even like I was on a stream."
"It was like, a prestream, where people were filing into my stream, and I was giving a little interim talk before I start my gameplay for the day."
"It was literally a two minute thing! Out of a four-plus hour stream!"

Here's the clip that this pig is lying about in an attempt to downplay it.

So, yeah.
It was during one of his Give-Me Money-Mr.-Papavera Minecraft streams, not during a prestream.
He wasn't just joking around, he was very sincere in his opinion that his racist jokes are okay, when compared to people mocking his gout.
Either The Quartering is too much of a pussy to call out DSP on his blatant lying.
Or The Quartering was too distracted by thoughts of the extra money he could bring in if this interview goes viral, that he didn't realize that DSP was peddling lies to his viewers.
Or The Quartering was too dumb and lazy when he made his original video about the recent articles, that he didn't even bother watching the video clip of the rant that was embedded in the articles, so he had no idea that DSP was lying.

DSP being DSP, he digs himself further into a hole.

"When I do those generalized racist jokes-- I say, 'racist' but you know what I mean. That's how they categorize it, as racist."
"In this current climate, people just can't take that kind of joke anymore! Ten years ago *DOUBLE OVER THE SHOULDER THUMBPOINT* when I started on YouTube, people loved it!"

Yeah, you sleazy pig. Your racist jokes are on the same level as Chris Rock's observations about race. Sure.
Also, people were calling you a racist back then. You just ignored them, you retconning sleazebag.

Philip "Darksydephil" Burnell is a grifter. FULL STOP
Philip "Darksydephil" Burnell feigns financial distress and uses emotional manipulation, of both his supporters and his detractors, to shake money out of the pockets of children and naive adults.

Low key I hope same news sites pick up on this and end up linking Phil to right wing people like Jeremy.
I think this was a bad move on both of their ends. For Jeremy, well look at his Twitter comments, it's about gout and sucking Phil's dick. For Phil it may lead to some sites picking up on it, making some really far connections, and Twitch eventually picking up on it.
Time will tell I guess, but I know Phil and Jeremy pissed off a lot of people with this stunt.
