ORLANDO, Fla. – A California man is in custody after he threatened to kill Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood, according to investigators.

Tyler Meyer, 30, was arrested Friday by the San Diego Police Department.

The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office said the FBI flagged Meyer’s threat against Chitwood via an anonymous post on a political board on the website 4chan.

“It’s too bad Mike Chitwood isn’t safe now that I’m planning to kill him. I’m going to shoot Mike Chitwood. I’m going to kill him by shooting him to death,” the threat said, according to the FBI.

The sheriff’s office said the FBI traced the threats to Meyer, who confessed after being shown a picture of it. Several guns, ammunition and electronics were also seized from Meyer’s home, the sheriff’s office said.

Volusia County’s sheriff has come under fire from groups for his condemnation of antisemitic demonstrations in the county, such as incidents in Daytona Beach during the Daytona 500 and in Ormond Beach last month.

Chitwood and his family have received threatening or harassing messages from several groups as a result.

On March 13 a man, Richard Golden, was arrested in New Jersey for making a threat against Chitwood. He was extradited to Florida this week.

Meyer is charged with making a written threat to kill or injure, a second-degree felony. He is expected to be extradited to Volusia County.

This is what the arrested 4tranny said, (I did not say this fedfags). The part I've bolded is the most obvious point that this is a joke threat, compounded by the repetition from before. None of these people should be arrested for this shit
Obviously it's a joke but when the setup to your joke is publicly making a legally actionable death threat in the most legally indefensible way possible, the punchline is you getting arrested for it.

From what I understand they're not breaking any entrapment laws because soliciting someone you believe to be a minor online is a crime itself even if they aren't a minor. Also what a weird thing to bring up out of nowhere and be angry about.
You have to be the police for it to be entrapment, and you have to talk somebody into committing a crime that they weren't already actively seeking to commit. Civilians catfishing a pedo or cops saying something that makes wignat faggots so mad they send him death threats isn't remotely close to that.

Why do people from other states care so much about Floridian politicians and public figures? Do they think that Florida is secretly a based and redpilled state instead of a schizoid state that can't decide if it's left or right?
Because they're the lolcows of the whole country.

Rights are 'real' whenever the populace has the ability to uphold the ones it wants in an armed population. You're right in that they become less so when people are too pacified and moreso when they have been subject to a slow drawl of years of shady soft tyrannical rewrites of legal jargon to limit the freedoms that people used to have incredibly slowly. Those rights that were once written in stone then eventually become eroded and you no longer have them. But acting like they never existed is stupid, it's a stupid as saying a building isn't real because it can be destroyed or/and because that people constructed it from artificial means. It still exists until the last person to care about it stops or they die.
He'a a European. He was born and bred to be a slave. As fucked as Americans are mentally, I can at least say they at least somewhat respect theur ability to be free.

What would happen if it was someone from outside the US doing it? Hypothetically, of course, before any resident feds or other five eyed glowies get excited and piss themselves.
A fourth suspect who posted and sent death threats in response to Sheriff Mike Chitwood’s stance against hate groups has been arrested, this time in Canada, according to a news release by Volusia County Sheriff’s Office.

Tony Stromberg of Calgary, Alberta, was identified as the individual who made repeated threats over Twitter, via email and in phone calls to Sheriff’s Office employees. Stromberg used the name “Condor Calabasas” in his emails, which included threats to murder the sheriff and his family members.

In a follow-up email in March, Stromberg wrote that he had made an “obviously much more credible threat” but was disappointed that “not one police car let alone FBI car has pulled up to my house.”

Detectives with the Calgary Police Service arrested Stromberg on Sunday on a charge of uttering threats to cause death.

He is expected to remain in Canada to face his Canadian charges without requiring extradition to Volusia County.

Or maybe, as I suspect, they've finally accepted Floridian Supremacy?

Florida is the next Texas.

Jesus Christ, this loser is like a super faggy troon version of Joe Arpaio, high on his own farts.
No, he is a faggy version of his own father. Pops Chitwood was a really good Police Chief in one of the suburbs bordering West Philly and was known for mouthing off calling the people he arrested thugs and villains when they attacked random working people. His father would never have wasted his time on this retarded dick measuring contest, the area he was in charge of had more than enough crime to deal with.
