I found this gem of a hack on YouTube yesterday, and decided to explore it on my 3DS. So far, I have uploaded themes that others have created, played homebrew games and emulators, ran custom Doom WADs, and created my own theme.

The description of the video links to a tutorial for some theme editing program called Custom Theme or something, but I prefer YATA+ because it's far more intuitive, full featured, and flexible.

All of this should be interesting to anyone who owns a 3DS with firmware version 9.0-9.9.

I leapt on Ironhax/Tubehax when I first found out about it since it's basically paving the way for vibeo gaen piracy but right now it looks like that won't happen until Smealum gets off his high horse and releases the source code to Tubehax so GBAtemp kiddies can pick it apart and add access to the 3DS's systems deeper than surface-level homebrew.

Haven't even really scratched the surface of homebrew beyond adding hundreds of Play Coins at a time but it's nifty to have, and I like having custom themes quite a bit since the only free one is for Bluearms Boom.

Sorry 'bout the doublepost, but looks like a save exporter/importer was released that works on 9.9's Ironhax/Tubehax homebrew launcher.

Save editors for individual games can be found here if you don't feel like actually paying for Poke-Diamonds in Pokemon Rumble World and the like.
