I assume Barb turned down the presents as they're neither sturdy enough to be used as foundation for the new hoard, nor are they bulky enough to be used as key stones.

This whole ordeal seems rather pointless, but you already expressed how you're aware of it beforehand and you said you didn't really expect much, so... uh... just as planned?

I'll have to say: thinking about how Chris flips his shit when he realizes he missed the opportunity to get original cells from Sonic is kinda funny. Then again, as Tubular Monkey already pointed out, Chris would most likely just be pissed about some miniscule detail and demand more.

If it was someone who had been weened for years, they really are not going to view an unsolicited visit by an unknown person as someone they should just invite in.

It would have been significantly less weeny just to UPS it. Or even just FB or otherwise let him know you had them and ask if he wanted them.

Not that it was actually that weeny, just kind of pointless and I'm not sure why exactly you would have expected anything else.

I guess you could say bucket list, and in a perfect setting, i might been able to talk with him for a bit, maybe get a thanks.

It was only a couple hours from wgere i was going, so why not make the trip. It was... cool, to see these sights from over the years, in person. As strange as that might be, it was like sightseeing.
 
Your gift is way too thoughtful, it would have just ended up on ebay.

He's clearly only interested in Lego or Amiibos
 
I sincerely salute you JSGOTI for your efforts, even though you couldn't see Chris in the flesh as you were looking forward to.
The exploits of Catie, @skyraider91, @Thetan and even Kesshite Buruamuzu made it look easy to approach him, but unfortunatly, it wasn't your chance.

Eh... not really. People have been going to 14BC for years. Hell, someone leaving a sign on Chris' helped kick off the initial trolling back in 2007/2008.

People don't go to 14BC in the middle of a dry spell. Like, I wouldn't imagine someone trying to give Chris a present, IRL, in 2013. It's only recently that Chris has been active enough to justify trips like this.

I doubt Chris appreciates the value of an animation cell. To him it's probably "just a drawing" of Sonic.

Actually, you could swim in a spent nuclear fuel pool and be fine. Just as long as you don't dive to deep.
Chris's house is officially more dangerous than swimming in a spent nuclear fuel pool.
 
When one person does it and shares it with us it is kind of funny and not a big deal for the Chandlers.

When a lot of people do it is much less funny and much more harassing to Chris and Barb.

Basically, knocking on someone's door is not trolling. A whole group of people all planning to knock on someone's door who doesn't want it is a little bit troll.

It's seems like a fine line we have to draw, if we want to avoid trolling plans. I don't think we are approaching it, but I don't know if we want to be hosting "Chris slammed the door in my face" contests.
