It's not about lolcows. At least not directly.

Now, survivalist/prepper lolcows? Political lolcows? Those would be justified. But neither are probably numerous or productive enough.

It would be more sensible to have a policy where the megathread is kept for inane speculation, and actual entertaining stuff is kept separate in the regular A&H forum.

I'm extremely annoyed about great threads like the one about Coronavirus DDLG porn being merged into that shitpile.

If we didn't have a subforum for Ebola, I don't see any reason to have a subforum for Corona either.

It might be okay to have a subforum to see the developments, but I don't see the benefits in seeing "X new cases in Y" everyday which is boring.

Maybe the people in the thread could cut down on the sped powerlevel posts about toilet paper or how they think they're getting a cough and need thots and prayers. The thread wouldn't be so bloated and long if that stopped.
