Being able to track an IP across the site and many years gives you much better data than each thread being it's own set. 4chan is one of the biggest websites on the internet and Gookmoot paid a fortune for it. You don't spend that sort of money every month on server costs and not see a return. Jlist's onaholes aren't keeping the lights on so something else is. Didn't he make millions off of data mining 2channel?

All of those groups shill and derail on /pol/ and the the "mining the Chans" thing is public AFAIK. Mindgeek makes tons of bot threads daily on /b/ and likely other forums too. Pornhub representatives outright say that they've browsed 4chan (this isn't even mentioning the the American fed theory about /b/'s jannies stemming from 2010) There's so much weird shit going behind the scenes.

I always thought this operation was too sophisticated for the source being just tranny discords.
Also, shitting up the board doesn't actually changes the beliefs of the posters and stops the recent growth of unironic nazism, it only represses it.

I read this a while ago and the plan isn't to change poster's belief system. They want to make boards so boring and shit posty people leave of their own accord. 4chan's /pol/ is unreadable and most have left because it's so bad, they're no longer in the loop or they join alt chan honey pots for easier tracking. New users find it too much of a hassle to get through the junk and never get their eyes opened. It's a mental DDOS attack.

I would think that the splinter sites would be better because of the smaller size and the types who go there: more of the 'extreme' (and actual extreme) types. Most on 4chan are just Redditors anyway at this point as was mentioned earlier in the thread.

Also /qa/ but that's just because the mods are insane and lazy and incompetent and it's usually just a Lee bait thread anyway. In fact I just looked and there are over a dozen Lee bait threads with pony content in the OP.

Captcha systems shouldn't be training anything. They should prevent bots from spamming. Why would you want to help train spyware to help track you better? The new Captcha is faster and easier than the Google one with no downsides.

Does any one have an update on the /r9k/ troon squads? Do they still try to trap incels on 4chan or have they all moved on to Wizchan and other places now?

I meant the Reiko(?) discord group. They lured in lonely guys and got nudes from them, in exchange for not leaking them they blackmailed them into taking HRT. There was a big stink about it a while back but the board continues to show signs of groomers being active on it. Is it the same group or others?

As opposed to clicking on all the motorcycles and then being told "please enter the CAPTCHA correctly" or being told that a mailbox is a parking meter? Nah, I'll take 4-5 letters and a stupid slider any day over that shit even if the best CAPTCHA will always be the one you could enter NIGGER and it would always be correct.
