If there's no interest the worst thing that happens is nobody posts, really, you won't get in trouble for making superfluous threads (unless you're spamming them). There's much higher scrutiny paid to lolcow threads, so that's where you'll really want to mind what you're doing. When you try to create one and start typing up a title the first thing you'll get is a prompt for "does a similar thread exist", and it'll try to sort out if there is one.If you were to make a thread how would you know there's interest? Or would you need to worry about the thread being similar to another? I have some games and comics I liked to discuss on 4chan but they were niche, and even if the creators were weirdos they wouldn't really classify as lolcows. Would I just make a thread in the off-topic section of the site for them?

There's also a super handy thread on how to write threads, if you plan to post in Prospering Grounds (for proper lolcow threads), and a bunch of informative links up at the top of the subforum's page.

If you're just posting in Off Topic it's a lot easier.
You may also notice a lot of the same Kiwis posting threads as you look around. If they happen to cover a certain type of cow that you plan to post about you can always hit them up for help.
