8chans activity is still way more active then before (160 pph compared to having above 1k pph even after 4chan returned).
The sharty also received quite a activity boost even after 4chan went up.
I predict most altchans will lose activity over the next few days (which is being proven looking at the stats of 8chan which is losing ppd day by day), but some users will stay afterwards. Sites like the sharty will probably benefit the most out of this more then sites like 8chan as those sites aim to be more unique rather then trying to be "4chan but better", which will result in more users staying.

4chan is down from 700k posts per day to 550k per day.

I envision a big chunk of posters there made 4chan a daily habit starting years ago, and the break made them realize there's just more interesting sites to use nowadays. 8ch.moe is okay, I have ambivalent feelings about it having necrothreads from 2024 or even older.

1. don’t have the attention span for it or enjoy digging through it the same way I might enjoy digging through a 10 year old thread on kiwifarms. I think 4chan was successful because stuff disappeared and you didn’t want to “miss out” on threads that were deleted and never archived . Who cares onn8moe when it’ll still be there in a year. I don’t “need to read or refresh it” daily or regularly it’ll be there, right?

If you can pass cloudflares sniff test , the site doesn’t seem to do much else to vet or suss you.

now you need to use something like cloudflare_mod to get a visitors real IP in their moderation tools and even ban them so enough of it gets ingested into the website and mod/admin tools.

Otherwise every single visitor would appear to come from cloudflares own subnets and banning them would be impossible. Aside from that most of the stuff on reputation and blocking would be on CF control panel and the website wouldn’t even see it if CF rejected or 403’ed it.
