Lately I make 90% of my posting via proxies because you never know what exactly can set the jannies on edge — two days ago the /sp/ mod was going crazy in one of the Formula 1 generals, deleting and banning most of the Canadian and American anons for nothing. I only use my actual IP for the most milquetoast safe posts.
Im too retarded to figure out how to proxy/vpn post without paying.
You probably shat on some mod and he got so butthurt he banned you. With no incriminating post they just resort to a generic trolling reason.
The reason was "off topic" but just about every other thread on /pw/ is off topic. I just can rest easy that they are gotten too.

I know the "post screencaps" thing was a while back, but i suddenly remembered these and after spending an hour looking for them i can't just not post it

/pol/troons are exceptionally gullible.
On 8chan /pol/fags once managed to convince themselves that the "shart in walmart" meme was an anti-american psyop engineered by some foreign three letter agency. This was shortly after they convinced themselves that "meme magic" is real because of some plane crash where the rescue crew looked oddly similar to characters from the plane scene in Dark Knight Rises.

The other day I wanted to post in the Real Madrid - Celta Vigo game thread on /sp/. Seemed to have a very low reply count, but I figured "well, the spanish league is pretty much done"

Then I got in to post, and none of my posts got through. It was like I got caught in some kind of shadowban. I posted in another general thread, and there were no issues. Just fucking bizarre. It's no wonder people got put off posting on 4chan with this kind of shit. You don't even know why it's happening. Was it a reaction image I posted? A filter involving the thread's subject?

Also, there's an element of creativity that's missing even in reaction images. Pic related, /sp/ used to make lots of Pardon the Interruption edits like this, until the Happy Hour threads slowed to a crawl and died.

While I'm on the subject of /sp/, I'll name a few of their older memes:
  • Jagsguy. His facebook was eventually found, but I forgot what his name is. A few of his pics from there got posted on 4chan, he seemed to always be amused by stuff.
  • Sarah. Doesn't sound familiar, right? It's this girl who caught the camera pointing right at her and reacted during a college football game in 2010. Reddit got a hold of the gif, and she was eventually found. Posting the gif got you guaranteed replies in the early 2010s.
  • 2011 + 14, not knowing about Costanza.jpg, I seriously hope you guys don't do this, etc.
  • >Schalke - this refers to an old 4chan crash. One day, the site would load but posting was disabled for hours. iirc, the last thread bumped to the front page was mocking Schalke 04, a german soccer team, with a pic of a black guy about to fuck a white woman in a shower. By the time posting was fixed, /sp/ was in full American mode, and many americans wondered what the fuck a >Schalke was, or laughing at the site being stuck with that pic on the front page.

Happens to certain IP's for whatever reason. I got banned alot on /v/ for criticizing the faggot staff but I rarely made threads and the times I tried I got a "Reply Posted" and the thread wouldn't even be in the catalog. I'd have to make threads on different IP's. Then within the same fucking day I'd see some sperg making another idpol ragebait thread or twitter screencap. Bet they were bots or india/israel ISP's.
the muscle memory is slowly fading. whenever i open a new tab i no longer have the urge to start typing 4.
I had the site bookmarked, had to delete that but sometimes I type it out and remember nothing good will come of revisiting that place.

/pol/ is the most boomerified board so it's no surprise. But I think there's also a part of it that knows it's fake but play along anyway because they enjoy the roleplay. There is a certain kind of personality that actually has fun larping as if kooky conspiracy theories are real, despite being fully aware that they're bullshit. I mean, the entire of /x/ is like that. Another example would be some of classic Alex Jones' audience.
There's this guy known as "inb4source/redskull" he's got about 1k threads with this as OP's img (pic related) and they stop in 2023, however I think the guy is just sloppy and uses another slightly tweaked one that also continues until today. He larps as being part of some PMC that's involved in every conflict out there. Very boomerish.

Have you ever created a meme on 4chan and then come back a few weeks later and found others posting it? No matter what, I feel I made some mark on the world somehow.

I made a couple of bkub (the Pop Team Epic guy) edits of his comics of Chen from Touhou that still get posted occasionally, it's really weird seeing them in the wild given I made them ten years ago.

I created a number of memes. It began with a pirated copy of Photoshop CS2. Even when I created, "from scratch", a unique meme that become very popular, it still felt like I was building from the shoulders of giants. Collaboratively creating culture is incredibly fun; the hyper-monetization and throttling of culture via IP monopolization took the fun out of it.

In recent years I mostly contributed to the endless varieties of fren memes.

seeing it change from 2011 to 2011+1 to 2011+2 etc slowly eroded my soul, thank god it eventually stopped being a meme to type in the year.

I still miss the image culture. Was fun selecting an image to go with your message. I guess I'll post one for old time's sake.
