4chan is a great example of that. The anonymity didn't help, either. I've been posting on the Farms for only a few weeks and I can't say I've run into any retards or retard pretenders so far. When I eventually come across one, I'll avoid that person. As simple as that.

That's what I enjoy about this place, and wish I made an account much earlier instead of just quietly lurking. The worst retards and schizos tend to quickly be banned, and the others can simply be avoided, or ignored if you have to use that feature.

I didn't even mind the average retard since you can scroll past those. But the annoying ones were the ones that wanted a fight so bad they became completely deranged. Giving themselves (You)s, calling you a jew, pajeet and nigger, going on a thousand character rant about how you're just mad and stupid and a goylem if you even gave them a single word reply. Even if you removed a > so he wouldnt get a (!) he would instantly respond. If you ignored them 10 posts they sometimes calmed down, but of course another retard would give them a single reply to latch onto and they would instantly go mad again. For a while I held out hope jannies would eventually get around to it and ban these guys, but turns out they were janny pets instead.

Or they were the janitors themselves which became obvious when you would criticize them, and you would be hit with a warning or a three day ban. But yes, it was very apparent whenever they would be spamming, and the anons who called it out or insulted him got banned for "flame wars." There has been cases where some threads are mostly dead and it's the schizo screaming at himself, samefagging, until some idiot finally bites his bait.

Has anyone here kept track of user activity on 4chan as of late? I know that user engagement was down by 33% across the board when it first came back online. I don't know if that persisted or if activity increased/decreased since then. 8chan.moe still gets around 1k-2k PPH. I'm wondering how many made the switch there permanently.

i am ambivalent about this right now. I;m glad I broke my 4chan habit , have only peeked two or three times since it returned, and not posted.

Kiwi Farms was here to let people sound off about the shit theyre doing to their users, it was eye opening and im glad it played that role and helped me kick 4chan out of my life.

I'm not sure that KF is a healthy substitute habit.

I dont want to use the other imageboards, theyre clutzy , i dont have any cross commentary thats fun or playful or even insightful.

I have kind of had it with the internet. with 'social media' and such.
