I remember I made a thread about Ace combat years ago on there. The OP image was of a news broadcast from the games. It hit bump limit and was entirely discussing the game series. No off topic at all. I got banned for a week because the janny didn't recognize the OP image or read the thread.

I'm gonna be honest I genuinely do not understand the animosity towards 4chan I've seen in this thread. Jannies being doxxed is funny and the 15 minute counter is retarded, but the site itself and the majority of the userbase is still mostly fucking fine.

If you don't follow One Piece I'm not even sure where to begin? TLDR a guy was spamming thread after thread with a little girl character. Eventually they got their WorstGen account doxxed, since their name and profile pic was this same girl or something, and they turned out to be Brazilian. They left for weeks but eventually came back. Everyone shits on them and they keep getting banned but they just reset their router everytime. They have a personal war going with another thread regular, who likes the bunny girl character, who also very likely is a janny since they ban people for shitting on this bunny girl sometimes.

This was before 7 came out it was that long ago. I was playing the PS2 titles again. I wish I had my copies still I think they got lost in a move. The jannies will never be a true ace.

I will miss the occasional /v/ threads actually about video games, Sopranos threads, and quality /a/ threads that seriously discussed the actual writing of an anime/manga instead of repeat forced memes made by one schizo waifu faggot the tranny mods don't ban despite everyone and their fucking mother repeatedly telling him to fuck off.

/a/ was genuinely a great place to discuss anime and manga provided you knew which threads to avoid. Every other anime forum is Xitter-tier cancer with constant moderation and attention whoring, making it impossible to have any productive discussion. I don't know what it is with anime, but anything without some form of anon always devolves into cancer extremely fast.

Not to mention there's still board-wide projects, like the Lain redr/a/w last year or all the translation/scanlation threads. I don't know any other community with that kind of engagement and culture, it's always just drama.
