Well, you all know that old adage. People pretending to be stupid should be careful to not attract actual stupid people that will assume they're in good company.

The politisperging became unbearable, and so did the edginess. There are only so many times you can call someone a "niggerfaggot", or try to "prove" the non-existance of the Holocaust or the effectiveness of communism via shitty memes before it becomes tiring and grating.
This is why I also stopped going to Brazilian imageboards. They became filled to the brim with actual Nazis, pedophiles and trap fuckers. Every single fucking thread had some spergery about da joos.

I think it is misrepresenting things to claim it was ever "liberal," as such, but it wasn't before reddit invaded in 2016 that /pol/ became overwhelmed with obnoxious cunts. That isn't to say everyone there is a "Nazi," but the sort of sperg who can't quit /pol/ sperging on every single board is generally viewed as annoying.

That's not quite right. /b/ was the ethos of the site for a long time, and the ethos of /b/ has always been humor via maximum shock value: lolniggers, lolpaedos, lolgore, etc. Consequently what started as ironic racism gradually morphed into earnest racism that eventually became so powerful the containment board /pol/ had to be created. There are a lot of explanations for why and how the shift came about, but it was definitely a gradual and ultimately seismic shift for the site.

This is why I also stopped going to Brazilian imageboards. They became filled to the brim with actual Nazis, pedophiles and trap fuckers. Every single fucking thread had some spergery about da joos.

How the fuck can there be Brazilian nazis? Brazil is one of the most racially mixed countries on the planet, I read that around 45% of the population identifies as "pardo" which is a Brazilian term for mixed-race. I doubt any of those nazis, even the ones who identify as white, are completely "pure". Makes no sense.

That's something I've noticed a lot on /pol/, at least with the American posters: a lot of them are Hispanic or some kind of brown mystery meat. There were several pictures of American /pol/ meetups when the HWNDU thing was going on in 2017 and whites were the minority in almost all of them. But I think the biggest example of Ameri/pol/'s racial diversity is the fact that whenever a spic/beaner hate thread pops up, it gets flooded with American flags saying that Hispanics are actually based because they have family values, are religious, hate niggers and jews, are conservative, and other points clearly meant to gain the approval of far-right whites.

Indeed, it makes no sense. It's more about infighting than anything. The biggest concentrations of whites are in the South and Southeastern regions, and some southerners hate northeasterners like me for the famous "dey took er jerbs" argument, summed to the fact they reproduce like rabbits. Nevermind that a good portion of the southern populace is composed of a heapload of European immigrants. Even in the northeastern region we have descendants of Europeans with white-like complexions (we popularly call them "galegos"). It used to be a terrible problem until at least 30 years ago, but nowadays the acceptance is much better in these regions.

This also helped create a perpetual persecution complex in northeasterners. Every single time something goes wrong for us, even for something inconsequential like football losses, will be blamed on "Southerners being prejudiced against us".

In the Brazilian chans, we even refered to those fuckers as "Nazipardos" because really, what are the chances the guy posting Nazi stuff is a purebred Aryan "master-race" or whatever they believe themselves to be? Chances are it's some stupid pardo NEET trying to cling to anything that can make him feel superior to the people he perceives as the common brazilian person, usually mixed-race people with luck with women and a devil-may-care attitude that also votes for the Left for the gibs and for the lip-service to popular culture.

I never used /pol/ much but there’s a divide between 2 types of users: Nihilistic oldfag trolls (who’ve been there since Ferguson or before) and self-serious earnestly political newfags (who came from elsewhere during the 2016 election and never really “got” Chan culture). Sometimes people will move between groups (newfags get blackpilled and etc).

It was always like this but Trump’s loss has made the division known (with the newfags seething and coping while the oldfags troll them with Biden memes). Ironically it seems like the nihilistic trolls are better adjusted, because at least they didn’t tie their entire sense of self-worth to Orange Man.

President Biden General has been great. It's the first thing in years that's actually made me want to check /pol/ regularly. /pol/ was ruined by the MAGApedes after 2016 so it's pretty cathartic to see them all get dunked on.

Even the non-black/brown rate for Brazil is shockingly high compared to most places on earth. The US homicide rate per 100,000 for the general population is about 5. This year's rioting might push it up to 6 or so at most since NYC/LA/Chicago have had a rough time with gun crime, which is still less than half of white Brazilians in 2018.
