The average level of discussion on 4chan has devolved into no more than a /b/-tier schizobabble of bots/shills and trolls trolling each other. The few good posts are drowned out in a sea of sludge.

This describes very well what 4chan comes down to these days. And sadly it's not only about the good threads on /pol/ or /x/. 4chan's whole "thing" now, the meta if you will, is trolling and making people "seethe" and "cope"(words which lost their meaning too). The discord SJW mods allow and i'm sure even encourage it, which leads to people trolling in every board and every thread. Even the less popular threads in /vg/ and /fit/ and /ck/ are full of troll posts made by people who obviously didn't come to have a discussion but to make someone else "seethe".

You go to the league of legends general on /vg/ and within the first 10 posts you see "NA TRANNIES COPING LMAO" with almost instant reply "EU CUCKS SEETHING SO HARD RN". Which is kind of understandable considering most of league players are actual trannies and cucks and basement dwelling discord faggots, but still.
You go to the fat people hate thread on /fit/ and there's some troll or actual fat fetishist going off "If you don't like morbidly obese fat sheboons youre LOW TESTOSTERONE FAGGOT", which of course gets him tons of yous, and others join the troll not knowing that the whole ''low test if no liking fatties'' is an old meme.
Visit /ck/ and there is the hourly ''is coffee good for you??'' thread with a coombait picture, first reply is often ''BUILT FOR BBC''.

If by any chance discord raiders don't ruin it and bots don't hijack it, then the actual sad morons will. The whole community now revolves around trolling, but unlike 10 years ago, it only trolls itself now.

I made the mistake of visiting 4chan to see what they had to say about the recent Kiwifarms drama. They really are fully compromised, huh? You'd expect 4chan of all places to decry trannies being able to take down a site they don't like, instead they're celebrating it. Very sad to see.

It was instantly overtaken by the twitter tranny shills and of course by the America First faggots. Majority of /pol/ are extremely butthurt the moment you say anything bad about Nick Fuentes or the gunt. Especially Nick. They actually managed to make the people who didn't know much about the farms believe that it is a tranny-friendly forum full of leftists and faggots using the gunt and nick threads as evidence. They also found some IRL streamer tranny that came here and was welcomed by a bunch of degenerate forum mods which appear to be inactive/unmodded/banned now(or not? not sure about that one tbh) and the people from the threads, not realizing that nurturing and embracing the lolcows is necessary

What the fuck has happened to /r9k/ in the past 5 years? It was always a meh to shit board but it's taken a nosedive into the septic tank. I blacklisted some words like gf, mom, any variation of fem-, foid, female, girl, etc, and so on, and at any given time there are gonna be at least 50 threads blocked. And who are all these underage namefags? Who's Iris? Why are you simping over her? So what if she's black? Is she even 18? Every time I visit the board I come a step closer to sympathizing with actual incels

Funny you say specifically "5 years", we are less than a month from the 5 year anniversary of reddit banning r/incels. It caused a big influx of redditfugees to the board which is already bad enough regardless of what kind of redditor they are, but I also noticed that (although both kinds of people existed in both groups) /r9k/'s "robots" were more passive and just bitter about their place in the world while the incels were much more aggressive and rabid about it. So basically, the board got AIDS and rabies at the same time because a large dose of reddit was injected directly into its blood stream.

The r/the_donald exodus also had a similarly notable effect on /pol/ but in a different way, most notably a watering down of their extremism with lukewarm neo-con boomershit (though this became less pronounced over time, but near the start you had newfags unironically saying shit like "/Pol [sic] was always a trump board, these nazis are revisionists and/or leftists"), a significant decrease in the quality of discussion (if you disagreed with anything someone else said, you were automatically an actual paid shill), and an increased rate of gullibility (lots of newfags and boomers unironically believing cryptic/schizo tripfags like Qanon and Anon5)

tl;dr whenever a big subreddit gets banned for wrongthink, the nearest-adjacent 4chan board gets bombarded with thousands of retarded redditors who make it their new home
