I discovered 4chan in 2005. The reality is, 4chan has always progressively been getting worse. People complain about the moderation (and rightfully so), but when it come down to it, the userbase is just absolutely filled to the brim with low IQ zoomies and turd world troglodytes now. No amount of good moderation can fix that. All the chaotic and creative oldfags jumped ship years ago. Everyone went off to Twitter, Discord, Telegram, etc. There are almost no interesting threads on the entire site, and the amount of time you'd spend combing through the various boards to find them makes it not really worth it.
As far as X/Twitter is concerned, there are a lot of good accounts on there, but it has its own problems. Elon's unbanned a lot of people who were censored off the platform, and that's about all the good I have to say about the changes he's made. He's done absolutely nothing to solve the bot and spam problems. Hell, many of the spammers simply bought checkmarks to ensure their bullshit gets seen. Paying users for farming engagement has been another huge blunder. I'm constantly having to mute/block accounts who aggressively retweet their own posts in the replies to other users' posts that are getting a lot of attention. It's absurd. At least half of these accounts are obviously Indians, too. They're an absolute plague.
