You're upset 4chan isn't banning more stuff? The bans will never work and never have worked. Unless you make accounts people will IP hop. We did it on dial up and now phone posters do it by disconnecting and reconnecting. You can't ban based on IP addresses alone so anything you implement will do nothing but annoy your average user. The 15 minute timer is supposed to prevent this and all it did was drive off the normal posters and give the faggots even bigger board shares.

A lot of users on these kinds of sites confuse ‘freedom of speech’ with just being edgy and ignoring the ‘speech’ part of it, which includes takes you may not like. Yes, this includes the guy saying that the tranime character you obsess over is weak or that other guy who spams pictures of celebrities you hate, this is the crap that you have to deal with if you want a free site. I don’t get why users refuse to accept this and have temper tantrums whenever someone posts a take they don’t like.

There are also 3 or 4 different "4chan happenings thread" generals across the site for discussing anything noteworthy, ranging from banning sprees to persistent spammers to backend changes. All of them are utter dogshit.

I miss /qa/ from before the invasion of the soyjak retards in late 2019. The meta and happening threads on the board were pretty good and attracted some Anons with an almost esoteric knowledge in imgboard history, especially on the Japanese ones.

/qa/ between moot's departure and 2019 was such a novel board. There were no newfags because the board was hidden and you could basically post anything but NSFW stuff because Hiro + mods completely ignored it, resulting in some weird combination of /jp/-esque animu spammers, /s4s/-esque irony shitposters, and /q/-esque (if anyone still remembers that) metaposters. It was amazing how little political sperging by midwits happened there a that time, compared with most of the rest of the site.

Mods are complete mongoloid faggots for starting to treat /qa/ like /trash/ in 2019 by moving all the asinine posts from other boards into it, thereby funneling all the cancer into it.

The only reason why I still keep tabs on 4chan every now and then is because I want to know how it will eventually end. And there aren't any good places for that anymore, including this garbage thread.

Word filters are also a form of censorship which clashes with your stance you have to accept the speech of others.

That tends to happen to mobile users for some reason, I know I have that issue on my iOS devices.

Strangely had this happen to me recently today, but it was different. Tranny jannies must've changed something again after adding hCaptcha for people who clear cookies, because after I solve it, wait out the 15, solve the slider captcha, post, hop to another board, theit makes me repeat the entire process again and wait another 15 on the other board.

It's definitely starting to put an even bigger damper on my mood anytime I'm on there now.

The thing that's really disheartening to me is seeing anons champoining this level of demoralization gatekeeping as "saving" 4chan. Regardless of what era someone found the site, having everything and everyone be insincere, snide, passive aggressive pricks 24/7, where everything's a joke despite the site bleeding traffic, is just pure faggotry and comes off like those anons suffer from sunk cost fallacy.
You can get a taste of that on /vrpg/, which I swear a small amount of the tranny jannies congergate.

I never had a problem with /vrpg/ in particular, but that's likely because I myself am one of the snarky CRPG boomers who look down upon the modern slop. Never bothered posting there much, more interested in other niche vidya boards like /vp/, /vst/ and certain generals on /vg/(which is an absolute shithole as a whole).
