hmofa sure as shit is one of the generals left to rot. There were daily melties over the most inane things and blatant spam. It was always the same one-two guys, too, as you could see all their posts get deleted during the rare times they went so retardedly ballistic even the absentee jannies were forced to take notice. I get that /trash/ is /trash/, but fuck the jannies for policing 6 different blacked threads while everything else wasn't even looked at.

/trash/ is /trash/ but I miss when the board wasn't wall to wall generals and had various different topics early on and even was kind of a sister /ic/ before it fell into the same request spam general issue.

Ironic that the literal dumpster board grew its own culture off the refuse by lack of moderation but was also killed by Jannies unironically being too lazy to moderate their boards (or remove recurring spam posters on /trash/, which has been an issue for years). See all the /co/ generals, /kpop/ and /irl/ that got dumped there instead of doing their job. /trash/ doesn't even really serve its "purpose" as threads are rarely moved onto /trash/ unless it's too many replies already, or the mod finished fapping to the furry porn and moved it to /trash/ to save for later.

Reports for Global Rule 1 get flagged specially in the report queue, and do go to the /b/ queue first (which has no jannies). Reported enough, and it climbs to the global queue - where every janny sees it at the top of thier queue and any janny can action it.

If a janny files a ban request for global rule 1 us law, it raises to the top of the mod queue to be actioned immediately. If a mod then issues a ban, there's some flow where the information attached to the ban (inc the post, ip etc) gets forwarded to the FBI.

There are no law enforcement (that im aware of) moderating 4chan (or even with the power to do so). But there is an automated workflow to snitch GR1 bans to the glowies.

yeah its still a thing. I think someone told me once the image swap bug is a race condition in their backend when making a post that's exasperated by their use of Cloudflare as a CDN. I want to say it's an easy bug to fix but as a software dev sometimes a simple fix is anything but.
