Oh good lord I hope they bring that shit back ASAP. Foidsisters I don't feel so good.

Except 4cuck past 2014-2015 is mainly brown ESL Amerimutts and Third Worlders LARPing as white people while claiming that Russia, China and Third World will hecking save the Westerino, troons LARPing as real men/women, Pedditors crying how sorry they are for being white/cis/male/ and how they wish for a black communist revolution, gooners treating the site like their goon sesh server and pedos making AI loli tentacle unbirth NTR porn.
Do you even browse 4chan regulary, where are you even getting this from? The vast majority there hates trannies and are pro-White. Who cares about Russia/Ukraine, no one supports China. Gooners stay on the gooner boards. Where the fuck does this headcanon about modern 4chan come from? Black communist revolution? 4chan hates niggers, even on boards like /a/ there's constant racism, and troons are constantly made fun off.

Its the end of a internet era. No matter how much you want to shit on them for a terrible antiquated UI, there's something charming about it. There was nothing charming about their retarded janny rules they kept implementing. They didn't do anything to stop spam. /pol/ was completely unusable for years after 2017 - I'd assumed the government got it.

I'm not one of those "dead internet" faggots who say it like it's as trendy as as the Backrooms or PCP, but the internet just feels so...boring and sanitized now. It's not about lack of "toxicity" which is still everywhere in abundance, but rather it feels like everything is for everybody and there's no more hardcore niche discussion among the hardcore fans of anything with a self-moderating energy.

I miss the old forums of the internet where people could actually talk about their interests without a bunch of newfag normalniggers shitting up the place. I miss personalized accounts and color no matter how gaudy. I miss game forums like the old League of Legends forums. I hated when they switched to the fast-moving reddit style before deleting the forums altogether for their shitty reddit.

The internet used to be a magical place, now it's just 5 boring websites every day. It's part enshitification, part contraction. The anonymous wild west is over. What we have now is boring vanity projects.

Kiwifarms and a few niche forums I still use are one of the last vestiges of what used to be. Its not looking good out there.
It honestly just feels weird now, especially to me since 4chan's been around 2 years longer than I've been alive. Like there's a huge empty slot (not Nikocado's) that exists within the fabric of the Internet. I don't know what's going to take its place (if anything does) but I'm not looking forward to it.
And to think less than 24 hours ago, people were still posting as usual. I'm pretty sure the dude who got in only had access for maybe an hour at best, or that's how long he was tampering with it. Almost feels unreal.

I'd love to know what the idea behind /trash/ was. Everything they said outwardly about it was a complete lie. That board turned into /vg/ for AGP/ERP/furry venn diagram bullshit awfully fast. You don't get hedges that nice without some real careful trimming.
As far I've been told by a former janitor (that granted, is not high on the ladder), the intention as a dumping grounds for migrating off-topic threads like the sticky said was meant to be sincere, but forgot to turn off the ability to make threads and then decided to keep it like that. No further word than that, maybe it could've been a conspiracy or someone wanted a furry zen garden. I suppose it works out for traffic considering modern 4chan is compartmentalized into generals for so many boards.

No no, the author is clearly a millennial whose first flame war was defending Zoe Quinn's honor on Twitter and before then their only internet usage was heavily moderated, homogenized slop.
Zoomers weren’t journalists at the time.
4chan doesn't need to be dead for my country to be full of Jeets and niggers.
the invasion of 4chan is emblematic of the invasion of the west.

Agreed. It's just the Farms now for me.

Honestly, I don't see why they don't just update their server to a currently supported OS and server software. Then just throw vichan or whatever open source imageboard software on there. It's not hard. I could do it.
Whatever federal agent has spent the better part of ten years napping just got an email about how this thing he's assigned to honeypot (4chan) was hacked. Now he has to haul his enormously fat ass out of his comfy chair, talk to his supervisor and actually do some work. And by "do work" I mean get some underpaid indian kids at the bureau to develop new invasive fingerprinting tools for this updated imageboard code.

The nothing ever happens in me says nothing will happen but there is no way they can just go back to doing what they did for the last decade right? You cant sweep your entire janitor/mod teams getting doxxed under the rug like they usually do with drama. All the hack did is prove all the conspiracy theories every popular general on any board had a local jannie who dictated the threads and let shitpostings run free, any janitors who wanted to actually improve places were either ignored or left, and they cherry picked threads.

I think this conception mostly comes from newfags going to/b/ and then seeing troll and gooner threads and then conjuring up this insane mental image of what modern 4chan is. It's the same thing that motivated the routine summer /b/ threads of people trying to scare off all the gooners from the board. Those threads were almost always made by newfag teens, and it's the same thing with this conception of 4chan as a BBC worshipping gooner forum. Anywhere else on 4chan, you get actual 4chan, but /b/, as a result of being the most famous board, and the most lax board, has the lowest quality of content.

Also I blame greentext tourists. Fuck you creepswork, brendaniel, mr greentext, etc.

Host on Debian, IP ban India, and have a committed staff of 200 mods specifically trained to scout for trannieposters

I agree. Whether is comes back or not, this is it.

Will it only get worse, or can things change?

What led to this death?
