Is this for true because wrestlemania is on Saturday and Sunday and I genuinely can’t handle not having that website on those days. Can somebody who actually knows how any of this shit works actually tell me if this might take weeks to fix?
Let me explain it in terms you understand.

This is like when Chris Benoît finally snapped and the month aftermath of all that

it'll probably take them a very long time to get the site back up. I feel like they don't really have a responsible server administrator, and whoever is fixing this is basically going to need to:
1. Reformat the entire device.
2. Reinstall 4chan.
3. Restore 4chan's database to the last save state, if available.

But who is the person responsible for this? Does anyone know how to do this? They're running it on FreeBSD, last updated in 2019. Does ANYONE Hiroyuki has contact with actually know how 4chan actually works right now, enough to completely reformat a server and get this running?
Null, the KF admin and who also used to run a chan in the past gave his opinion

From what I've read they're primarily targeting jannies,
I doubt anyone will shed a tear over it. Attached is a meme about the jannies on /lgbt/. Not a board I frequented since it was essentially /x/ with trannies, but it's a sentiment you'd find about jannies on basically every board. No interest in preserving actual discussion, but instead protecting shitposters and even banning users who criticized their lack of moderation. I wouldn't be surprised if we learn a good amount of spam came from janny ips.

Even if it comes back how are mods going to deal with the endless mockery and spam? Because mind you they didnt get "hacked" by some 14 year old boy from Pakistan (unlike this digital Fort Knox) but the fucking sharty of all places. Anon will never let them live this down, its just going to be constant reminders that /qa/ won and lots of ´jaks to boot, in the first few weeks its going to drown out any other discussion.
Mods fucking hate the sharty so what are they gonna do? They are not going to reopen /qa/ thats for sure. Are they gonna implement even stricter moderation banning anybody making fun of them? 24 hour timer for new IPs?
The fallout from that nuclear own might just kill the site for good, then its really just going to be bots botting bots. Good riddance I guess.

It'll be back. The problem is what fucking state it will be in when all is said and done.
I mean, it's not like imageboards have "content" to speak of, it's just a DB skeleton. People finding their way into stuff and going rageDELETE goes back to the earliest bulletin boards. No reason that the same posters wouldn't just resume their shitposting the second it's back online.
