I'm not one of those "dead internet" faggots who say it like it's as trendy as as the Backrooms or PCP, but the internet just feels so...boring and sanitized now. I miss the old forums of the internet where people could actually talk about their interests without a bunch of newfag normalniggers shitting up the place. I miss personalized accounts and color no matter how gaudy. I miss game forums like the old League of Legends forums. I hated when they switched to the fast-moving reddit style before deleting the forums altogether for their shitty reddit.

The internet used to be a magical place, now it's just 5 boring websites every day. It's part enshitification, part contraction. The anonymous wild west is over. What we have now is boring vanity projects.

Kiwifarms and a few niche forums I still use are one of the last vestiges of what used to be. Its not looking good out there.

It was dead before this. Whatever corpse was left these last 9 years or so just acted as a reminder of what it used to be. And yet I'd still head there out of habit and on occasion see interesting threads on f1, ufc, and a lot of /g/. So there are still good discussions buried deep, things that make me laugh or that are interesting and useful.

Maybe those users will find KF and maybe they'll sign up and contribute. I really think the worst of the website was caused by the tranny jannies and bad actors (glowies, nation states, trannies from discord).
