/vg/ has a special kind of mental illness going on there. I've watched several generals go from a chill slow hangout to literal erp shitholes filled with unironic troons just posting porn and offsite drama like anyone cares.
*ahem* /vrg/ /vrg/ /vrg/

I wonder if we can pinpoint what mod/janny on /g/ hated home server/networking generals so much.
Probably the same ones who let the install gentoo wiki fuckin die.
it surely had its moments
Sad thing is that the AI will never be able to replicate this.

Are you joking? The youtube comment section is absolutely awful nowadays. Every single comment on music is just "who is watching in 2025?" and every other comment is just like "bro really just did X💀
Like I said, entirely depends on the type of channel and video. The ones you mention are expected on normie mainstream music videos, but then again, there isn't really much to discuss about those videos either.

If the channel you're on aligns with your views and niche interests, then it tends to be okay, especially compared to the old days where it was all completely worthless on every video.

Sure, you can't really speak your mind freely there either (no mainstream site will allow this), but my experience over the last few years has been that my brain usually doesn't get completely fried reading them anymore. Youtube used to be much, much worse, especially the 2000s -- I haven't seen any "this is bob" copypastas in over a decade, for instance.

Why does this read like a Bossman quote?
"Holy shit man.. I've been browsing that site for almost 20 years.. I'm actually fucking crying man, I'm fucking crying. This is so fucked up man. Why the fuck did we have to resort all of this hate? Why ruin the lives of people trying to better the community? Is this really necessary? We need love, not war. I love you 4chan, I will never forget you."
:lossmanjack:

Lmao no? People call each other niggers, trannies, spics and kikes all the time and never get a ban on /a/. The only board I've experienced getting a ban for slurs alone is /gif/. On /a/ you can easily call people retarded gorilla niggers just fine.
I've been warned and banned countless times for saying shit like that on /a/ and other blue boards.

Is there a reason why most altchans get spammed with CP? Is it just a coordinated attempt to censor any websites that don't exist within the mainstream?
The theory I've heard is that a lot of it comes from SEA shitholes where subhumans with internet access get paid cents-per-post to manually fill out captchas and post CP spam. iirc Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, and Japan (usually VPNGate or another vpn) are the main places it tends to come from. Supposedly they have a big google doc or something they use to know which sites to spam.

It's coordinated but they don't target any single website specifically. I can't imagine how effective their 'advertising campaigns' are but surely it works to some extent if they've been doing it for over a decade.

I have noticed that effortposting is beginning to disappear, replaced by single-word posts and irrelevant babbling. Without swift intervention, this thread will soon become plagued like the Soyjak.party thread. The damage to it may be nearly irreversible.

Making a temporary thread for the 4chan refugees may be a good idea, since discussions are starting to rapidly derail into typical anon-sperging. It will give them a space to express themselves and share their experiences/thoughts without contaminating the thread with inapplicable nonsense.

However, this is just a simple thought from me. :)
I'd say lock the thread, but locking them out of their containment sites only spread the disease to here.
We're looking at a sitewide faggoning right on our doorstep
