Like I said, entirely depends on the type of channel and video. The ones you mention are expected on normie mainstream music videos, but then again, there isn't really much to discuss about those videos either.Are you joking? The youtube comment section is absolutely awful nowadays. Every single comment on music is just "who is watching in 2025?" and every other comment is just like "bro really just did X![]()
If the channel you're on aligns with your views and niche interests, then it tends to be okay, especially compared to the old days where it was all completely worthless on every video.
Sure, you can't really speak your mind freely there either (no mainstream site will allow this), but my experience over the last few years has been that my brain usually doesn't get completely fried reading them anymore. Youtube used to be much, much worse, especially the 2000s -- I haven't seen any "this is bob" copypastas in over a decade, for instance.
