needless to say, Why use 4chan in 2025?
Many reasons, bullying western erotic game fans for one:

Nah son I can tell that's a white broad pushin 30 playing puppets
Honestly, there are a bunch who capitalize on exactly this in the indie sphere, and as loathe as I am to say it some of them are even a bit watchable, mainly the rare ones who aren't coombaiting.
But yes, I fucking wish I could see /vt/ right now. 8moe's /vyt/ just isn't the same, there aren't enough terminally brainrotted schizos to make it entertaining.

truth nuke. the big thing about 4chan was that it was the origin of a lot of original content and effortposting. a lot of that has shifted to the sharty and actually funny memes tend to come from there and not 4cuck

The funny thing is that /mlp/ is an excellent case study in this. At some point in 2021 all original ideas just fell off a cliff and everything became a game of spamming the word "mare", two or three background characters and then everything new needs to be "mare is x" or "mare(associated object/characteristic)" with anything actually new derided as being forced and unwelcome. It's like something with the 2020 election just finally purged the last of the true creatives from the site overall signaling the true endpoint.
Was 2020 the year /Mlpol/ was made for the april fools? I could be wrong, but after that both boards realized how much user overlap there was between the two and became worse for it.

that's amazing. I loved all this as it was going down, but once moot sperged and turned off the captcha and post limit on /pol/ that one day, then announced he was leaving shortly after.... I knew that we really might have gone too far. We bullied him off his own site. As much as a faggot moot was I miss that guy and that's just the gosh darn truth. An icon of simpler times I guess.
I always knew "see you, space cowboy" was a real farewell. Too bad he cucked, but I can't hate moot.

I noticed that, but I think it's because of another reason. /mlp/ had a lot of green and art being churned out because the coof happened at that time and people had a lot of free time. "Idle hands are the devil's plaything," they say, but it makes a lot of color. When the coof ended and people went back to being busy with work, /mlp/ just kind of... stopped. The difference was pretty stark. I'm pretty sad that happened because a lot of stories I enjoyed were abandoned, and I'm wadding through a minefield of them, even now. I agree that the "mare" phenomenon was another nail, which funnily enough can be traced back to "snowpity" and the /mlp/ online con during covid. At least it spawned some art of obscure ponies, I guess.

I'm a bit surprised that none of the exposed jannies have (so far) been found to also be reddit mods. Looking through the list last night I found a few reddit accounts with the same usernames but none seemed to be mods. I would assume people that delete posts for free are doing it because they enjoy the power it gives them like these reddit mods that moderate 50+ subs.

New users are good. But it's like unregulated immigration for every good new user you got 10 other shitty ones.
And yeah, you're right, it'll blow over and the 10 shitty ones won't be able to hack not being anonymous here pretty sure the idea of neg rates are sending a lot of them into panic attacks already.
you are right i am freaking out can you guys please stop giving me "negative" rating god forbid some are even rating my posts "autistic" or even "HORRIFYING" unbelievable
i just showed up here looking for some friendly conversation about a beloved site passing away, and you treat me with such viciousness and cruelty? to what end?
I have already been betrayed by my Hiro, my home lay in ruin, and I am cast out to sea as a wandering drifter. I stumble into your abode and you greet me with Insults, with derision, with scorn? My already fragile mind is bursting at the seems, my tortured heart can no longer bear such cruelty. In my darkest of nights, the greatest time of my need what do a receive? a horrifying rating

Betrayed again, the icon of some piercing all I receive in return. A reminder I am truly lost and alone now, but then that is not really news to me is it? I have always been in such a miserable state. But that is the joy you guys feel is it not? A power over deriding the needy, the weak, the imperfect. It is not something that has ever occurred to me... though perhaps because there just is no man more miserable than I.
I plead with you mercy... a down vote I cannot accept. A horrifying, an autistic... such cruelty the frayed nerves holding my mind in it's place cannot bear. I have no false pride to keep me from being open and direct in my pleas. Be kind to a traveler who has already taken such beatings. You may ignore me and view me with the contempt you find so comfortable, but do not degrade and play with me as you have previously seen fit... keep your downvotes to yourselves... such a cruel weapon should not be used carelessly. Particularly on one who already has as cruel a fate as myself...

Edit: downvotes, really?

It was 2017, and tbh it worked as a one day joke but the problem is retards took it too serious, unironically petitioned to get it kept as an unlisted board, and then moved it to its own site where it became a site for tryhard weirdos.

I get gatekeeping, but Kiwi and 4chan overlap has existed for ages anyway. Also just because we're discussing the issue: why is someone who joined in 2024 trying to lecture everybody on what kind of new users this site should permit? Do you at least have some old account here that you just forgot the login credentials for?
I understand the overlap but like I said in earlier post, what's happening here isn't that.
And before this account I just lurked for a couple years. I'm not gatekeeping at all and I'm not some newfag wagging a finger, I just don't want the site being shit up by lost-at-sea 4channers that don't give a fuck.

/pol/ was probably scary because presidential elections generally don't receive much participation from young people. Meanwhile, Donald Trump (in some way her campaign couldn't figure out) was drumming up support from a demographic that's typically checked out of politics and they were making OC spread across social media to make him seem like the cooler candidate.
/pol/ in the year or so prior to the 2016 election had amazing energy. It's been downhill since. The good old days were only nine years ago - makes me feel old. And I'll miss /t/.

People who Use 4chan in 2025

1. People who cant move on, and cling to their younger days on 4chan as if its the greatest moment of their lives (exactly like those who keep bringing up their time in highschool even to their 40s and 50s)

needless to say, Why use 4chan in 2025?
Because, same as with Kiwifarms it is a relic from the old internet. Apart from certain things, do can post what you want. Not to mention ease of use, easy to share information and files and I personally prefer the image board style. Good general threads having neatly complied information like every Ace Combat game with instruction how to properly emulate them. It can also be genuinely funny and there are still fringe cases of things resembling a community like the Mogra threads on /a/.

Show me anything resembling 4chan in 2025 because other than the German equivalent that is pr0gramm I can't think of anything like it. 4chan has been in an abysmal state for so long, but what is the alternative ?

This shutdown has proven to be really inconvenient. The site being down affects archival websites, most particularly Archiveofsins. I had some catching up to do after my long absence from gooning.
Does anyone know of a good porn alt-chan that isn't riddled with pedos. 4chan.gay is repulsive and all I ever wanted was to congregate with likeminded individuals that appreciate porn synced with music, and make them leak by sharing my shitty blacked phonk HMVs. Just wanted to Vent, but directions to a probable place is appreciated.
