/x/ has been hot fucking garbage for years and I'm fairly certain it's because nearly all real people on that board had been filtered out by janny intervention. There were some intermittently good but cheap shitposts at times but anything interestingly esoteric or any oldschool /x/ stuff was pretty much eradicated in favor of those damn nobody generals where people basically bot-post in and weird coombaits. I didn't see much vampire shit when I lurked but I did see some guy constantly remaking the same thread asking about how to become a werewolf. I think the tulpa threads were probably the beginning of it becoming infested with tumblr LARP and insentient posters.

The perpetual janitor problem. How do you find someone willing to work for free who isn't a total loser? I was skeptical about nulls insistence that the Kiwi Jannies publicly post, but the fact that that they are fully visible, and also chosen from the people actually interested in the subject matter seems to have helped a lot. It's wild to jump into some thread features and you see someone with Janny privilege's posting you've never encountered before. Mainly because you never went into that area of the forum until a major dust up happened that warranted the entire website being directed to watch the dumpster fire. The pay, such as it is, is not monetary but in the satisfaction of not having retards shitting up the discussion.

This is of course not to praise the jannies of course. They still do it for free and are beneath contempt. But perhaps 4chan could learn a thing or two about better methods and practice.

Let it be known /k/ got pozzed the FUCK out 2+ years ago, for whatever reason.
