@Null what do you think is going to happen when 4chan inevitably comes back online? This is obviously way too big for them to pretend that nothing happened especially the longer the site is offline. I feel like there almost has to be some sort of concessions on some things like the 900 second timer or some of the moderation policies if they want to have any chance of recovering the site’s userbase. That might just be wishful thinking on my part.

The 4chan Cup is a virtual soccer game hosted with most boards in participation since 2011, /mlp/ had been chasing a third star (cup win) for over 9 years, many joked the 4cc would be over if /mlp/ got the third star, 2 months ago on February 9th it happened /mlp/ won the Winter Cup and now there might not be an /mlp/ once all is said and done, they probably will bring back the board but if the site stays down for a month I don't know if the activity left will be very fun.

To me it seems like the worst case is that someone finds another exploit and they deface everything and call the jannies niggerfaggots, but that is the status quo without having a website up

It's that the whole thing leaked and revealed that the PDF thing isn't the only vulnerability. The fact they know what the site is made of, and that those other parts already have known exploits is what makes it so vulnerable.

Has anyone compiled, labbed, and emulated the PDF reverse shell attack yet? I just woke up, and I plan on doing it over the next six or so hours.

I will post netlogs, source code, and the repo link along with a bootable image here for posterity. I do believe it was a PDF embedded script that wasn't checked (there was no MIME function, and all file uploads were shell executed).
