Imagine being this much of a speedreader. The story was great and made fully sense until Eren pussied out on genociding the world. The story should have ended with Eren killing all of his friends and then go back to Historia and their baby. It was right fucking there and heavily hinted at, which is why /a/ at the time memed about how the jews got to Isayama. Such a trash fucking ending that could have been great.

The worldbuilding was always stupid and mostly saved by a few good ideas (for instance, having most of the early story casualties be from starvation and having the government send hundreds of thousands onto their deaths because they don't have the resources to handle them). Just read the uprising arc again and you'll see that Isayama was always retarded deep down, nice "politics" you got there bud.

The problem with anime is that the target demographic is either literal children or people who lack media literacy (as in they are unable to engage with the material on the minimum level needed to enjoy it)

Mirai Nikki is the most obvious example because the character motivations aren't explained in the story and instead derived from subtext (trauma)
Somehow a character like Yuno is reduced to "lol crazy girl" because the average anime watcher literally can't understand the writing of the show, the worst part is that it isn't exactly a deep/complex narrative
Once you realize this you quickly start to notice that EVERYTHING related to both characters and the plot is straight up explained in anime, e.g: if a character is depressed this will never be showed by them drinking a lot and acting un-engaged instead the show will have them drunkenly rant how and why they feel depressed
