The problem with anime is that the target demographic is either literal children or people who lack media literacy (as in they are unable to engage with the material on the minimum level needed to enjoy it)

Mirai Nikki is the most obvious example because the character motivations aren't explained in the story and instead derived from subtext (trauma)
Somehow a character like Yuno is reduced to "lol crazy girl" because the average anime watcher literally can't understand the writing of the show, the worst part is that it isn't exactly a deep/complex narrative
Once you realize this you quickly start to notice that EVERYTHING related to both characters and the plot is straight up explained in anime, e.g: if a character is depressed this will never be showed by them drinking a lot and acting un-engaged instead the show will have them drunkenly rant how and why they feel depressed

Many many people made that mistake, probably because Levi looks kinda similar to Mikasa, even though he's not asian at all.

Eren not genociding the world isn't even the biggest fault of the ending. In fact I liked when eren screamed at Hange "what else should I do" implying he didn't want to do the rumbling but he had no other choice and him crying to Ramzi exclaiming how there was no other way. It showed he wasn't just some cringe edgelord and he actually had humanity. The biggest fault of the ending was how it destroyed all the paradis characters save for floch and the other yeagerists.

The entire outside world wanted to kill the eldians, and their techonolgy was about to powercreep titans permanently. The rumbling was the only thing they could do to ensure their survival. Jean even brought this up to Hange and she couldn't refute his point, yet still decided to stand against Eren. The mangas ending even showed paradise being destroyed by bombs a few years down the line which was later retconned in the anime to a few centuries after because it just proved Eren's resolve of wiping out the outside world to be 100% correct.

Also Eren suddenly having feelings for Mikasa came out of NOWHERE and was shoehorned in for no fucking reason. He literally ignored her the entire fucking manga and was being built up to have a relationship with Historia which was thrown away because ??? Honestly I could write 1000 more paragraphs on what was wrong with the ending but so many videos covered this shit and im honestly getting pissed off at remembering this bs ass ending god isayama is a fucking hack
