i'm still baffled that /b/ had zero jannies. and the fact the just less than 3 weeks ago, they did an April "fools' prank, taking the entire site down, except for /b/. (or was it /v/)?
either the people who hacked it have a good timing and sense of humour, or something else is afoot

My current schizo theory is that last year when those boards with not a ton of traffic got nuked for a day, it was the sharty skriptkiddie, he mentioned having access for a whole year.
I don’t remember the full list but some /cm/ fag was bitching about it in one of my /vg/ threads, they were mad I assume because those boards have multi year long threads because of low traffic.
Jannies didn’t give a reason either. Maybe they didn’t know what happened and just avoided saying why those boards were shuttered to lessen how incompetent they looked.

Although, now that you mention it, passes were good for spambots, just as long as your pass didn't get banned.
