everyone who needs to lurk to understand the culture of any given website, not just KF, is severely autistic and I mean more autistic than average.
Just dont walk in and act like a retard and/or act like you own the joint. as long as you're giving out useful information and/or you're not shitting up the place nobody gives a shit. You'll learn the in-jokes eventually. Its not that hard.

Yeah, exactly, don't think too hard about it, just have fun. You really only need to be extra careful if you're intending to start threads; that's where you want to have your quality control locked in. If you're just hanging out in threads with other Kiwis (as long as it's not a topic requiring some expertise like law sperging) then you'll probably be fine. We were all pink join dates once.

I have absolutely 0 confidence they'll get the site up when they said. For the past 10 years they only had 1 person updating the site, and all his updates were to spam-prevention measures. Do they even have a single competent dev?
If it come back up, it'll just be hacked again in short measure, and likely this time by someone who hates the users instead of the mods.

aggressive anti-ban evasion measures.
Oh they do, when it fits their agenda
As one of the white pill thread makers, they shut us down by geolocation rangebans
The relatively mid sized town I used to live in couldn't post threads at all after they got me, I wasn't able to make threads again until after I moved state
But it didn't matter, I knew what would happen if I started making white pill threads on /pol/ again and so did the three other anons who did it, wherever they are today 1689300944990197.webp

the gayniggers I know haven't been heard from during this whole event. Teridax was on steam briefly but that's it and I haven't heard a peep out of meepsheep

Stick with us and you'll be fine. Null, the owner, might hate us, but he hates us in the same way you "hate" your dog for shitting on your floor.

honestly I kind of feel bad for people dealing with this shit.
There's going to be a lot of wasted time and effort building out infrastructure that is going to languish and go completely unused once 4chinz is actually back up. Even worse, before they were mostly flying under the radar but now they've got a spotlight on their existence and that's only going to show them how absolutely awful the schizos that were 24/7 raiding 4chinz actually are, especially since, lol, lmao, they're trying to be "cool" and "hip" and "with it" by not banning the fuck out of VPN's or having aggressive anti-ban evasion measures.
It's certainly a shitty situation, with 4chan schizos swarming what were once calm places, and communities trying to establish themselves again. There's some interesting insights to it though as you can see how the most popular 4chan boards have had their population spread.

Literally all /v/, /co/, /a/, and /pol/ altchan boards have had a big influx of new users. Whether it be generals moving to them or people just wanting to talk about those subjects. But that does include said raiders and schizos. More niche boards like /pw/ or /m/ though have not had their own boards made at all, and now exists as their own threads on altchan boards. Many of those users are now also likely lurking or have turned to bigger sites or something. If 4chan doesn't come back though those communities might be able to establish themselves and their chosen altchans might get bigger (the "Yes, goodbye forever 4chan" option in the poll has slowly been getting bigger).

They weren't just not-moderating AI experiments on anons, they were running them.
One of the things I was studying on /x/ was the fact that any thread that covered truthful material would be slid off the board, and the ridiculous shit would stay at the top of the catalogue. Anti-christian threads would also stay at the top, and pro-christian threads would either get slid off the board, or filled with bots trying to debunk christianity. They were definitely running some kind of op on that board.
